Nerve Bar and Travel

Thread created on 18:44:38 - 04/02/16 (10 years ago)|Last replied 16:00:47 - 05/05/16 (10 years ago)I posted this on another old thread, and figured it'll never be seen there, so I posted here too -- a brief guide on travel and nerve bar. Here is a chart for quickly determining how far you can fly and return without having a full nerve bar sitting.
First, pick the chart that applies to your flying method: Standard, PI Strip or WLT BB.
In that chart, locate your current nerve bar size in the first column. This is your natural nerve plus any modifiers such as faction specials or merit upgrades. For example, if your natural nerve bar is 35 and you have +2 from your faction and +4 from merits, the nerve bar size will be 41.
The minutes shown in the second column is the number of minutes it takes for you to regenerate a completely empty nerve bar.
Column three shows the furthest destination you can reach and not "lose" any nerve regeneration, if you start with an empty nerve bar.
The dark red line marks the furthest you can travel to not lose any ENERGY.
For nerve bars less than 15 or greater than 67, please contact me.

Posted on 15:07:33 - 07/02/16 (10 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linklol. anyone with a nerve bar that high or pockets deep enough to regularly use BCTs can probably figure out this info. The primary uses for BCT are 1) to catch someone who's run away (you'll get there before he does) and 2) to rehab as fast as possible after Xanax OD to get back in a war with cans, in which case you don't care about your nerve loss. I'm just addressing the MOST COMMON matrix of nerve and travel modes used in the game. Make a strong case for why any of the missing info would be of interest to a large segment of players, and I'll include it

I find that in some cases it can be worth now to use one. -

You would lose all your profit and more if you use a BCT, so I think it's safe to say it's still a luxury item. But certainly more affordable now if you want to make a big deposit or withdrawal in the Caymans or rehab quickly or something like that.
