Introduction

Mugging is now one of the important parts of the game and if done right, it can be very resourceful. Sadly, it's not something that every Tom, Dick and Harry can easily accomplish, especially the people with low stats.

So here I am to offer you my knowledge about mugging.

I'm not some super expert at it. I have close to $2B in money mugged which is decent for 150 days age, nothing extraordinary though.

However, I am better than all the people who don't know much at least so I'm going to share what I know. If anyone wants to post their ideas and suggestions, feel free to do so.

1.0 Mugging Inactives

1.1 Long gone Inactives

Quite a few low level muggers mug inactive players. If you take the efforts to find inactives, you can usually get 400k-1m per mug along with a fail every now and then when you hit someone having negative cash. Alternatively, if you're lucky, you can find someone loaded with cash giving you 3-5m or more whom you can repeatedly mug.

A few search parameters while searching for these kind of inactives:
1. 1500+ Days of Age and at least 1000 Days + Last Seen, Should not be over 2750 days old though
2. Brain Surgeons are preferred as they amass the highest daily income from basic jobs
3. A few networth medals increase the hopes of getting a good mug
4. Shack owners give you a better average over a good range as they lose no money in property upkeep as compared to other properties. However, the chances of finding a golden mug are better with people living in better properties like palaces, castles and PIs.



1.2 Recently inactive

You can try players gone away recently too. Anything between 3 to 300 days is recent. Here the mugs vary a lot, you may get many empties but there is a real good chance of finding a decent one too.

Again parameters here will be:
1. Decent Property (No lower than palace)
2. Networth Medals
3. Good Bazaar Income (Check Personal stats)
4. Tycoon, Trader and Investor Titles are the best ones

2.0 Scouting and Mugging Normal Players

There are many different methods to scout and mug and get a decent mug. I'm gonna list all I know along with the tricks to do it. I'm just listing the methods, some people may find a few methods unethical and so if you do, then don't go for it. I'm just gonna list all.



2.1 Scouting the Casino

Watch Poker Tables and Russian Roulette Tables. You can get very huge mugs here.

For poker tables, if you find a player with a decent amount of cash on the table and you feel you can defeat him, you must search for his profile and be ready on the attack page. As soon as he times out, initiate the attack, finish it as fast as possible and mug.

For Russian Roulette Games, wait on the profile page and be ready. Watch the Roulette Hall. It tells you which round they are on, as soon as the game you're scouting disappears, click on the attack button. If your target lost, he would anyway be in hospital and you would not be able to attack him and if he won then you will be able to attack him and mug for some decent cash if he isn't protected for his cash.

Another trick for RR mugs is, you can have an accomplice with you. You can attack the player in advance and wait on the final screen. Tell you accomplice to post a message in your private chat as soon as the game is gone and that's when you press the glorious mug button. This works only if you are real co-ordinated and fast and have a stable internet. If he disappears mid-way, you're screwed. The advantage of this trick is that if you aren't strong enough to one hit kill him, you don't waste any time on the attack later, as you've already finished the attack. Also, in this case you'll have only a 5 minute window for the attack else it will timeout and you may lose 25 energy. Also, if the player loses the game and goes to hosp, your 25 energy is gonna be a waste because though you can mug him, he'll be less likely to have cash since he lost.



2.2 Scouting the Points Market

If you're a rich player, you can buy the points and mug the player or you can wait till someone else buys and then mug the player.



2.3 Scouting the Item Market/Bazaars

If you're a rich player, you can buy the items you require and then mug him or you can wait till someone buys them and then mug him as fast as you can.

This is especially useful on items like Xanax and DPs and FHCs and Cans. For these items, if you buy at market price, if you immediately sell it back, you can almost sell it back for the same price, give or take a few 100k while you can get a decent mug.

Ex.
1. Buy 10 DPs at 23m >> $230m Cash on hand
2. Mug him >> $8-$16m mug depending on merits
3. Sell the DPs at 22.7m
4. Profit = $5-13m depending on your mug amount (Warning, this is pointless if you get mugged while selling the DPs so you gotta be careful)



2.4 Scouting Players in Trade Chat selling costly stuff through trade

Yep, let them trade! You can still mug them.

The trick here is to load the player's profile, open the attack page in 1 tab and his personal stats in the other tab. You must monitor the number of his trades done and keep refreshing the page every second looking at it like an eagle. As soon as it increases by one, go do the attack and mug. Voila!



2.5 Scouting the Property Market

2.5.1 One Time Mugs
Buy a property if it's at it's normal price and mug the buyer. Sell it off at the same price and the mug is your profit.

2.5.2 Repeated Mugs
You can scout the property market specifically for Castles and Palaces and sometimes find people who have listed their property for a bit more than the current market price but are inactive since a few days. If it is 3+ days, I'll immediately buy the property and mug him every 12 hours till he comes online. That is a continuous flow of decent mugs till he comes online.



2.6 Scouting the Item Market for Inactive High End Item Sellers

This is another trick for repeated mugs. Sometimes you'll see that the costlier items have someone selling them who has been inactive for a few days. That's your chance at the jackpot. Buy the item immediately even if it is a little costlier and then mug him every 12 hours till he comes online and hides the money.

Try this only if the player has been 3+ days inactive.



2.7 Scouting the Auction House

For any high end items, you should always keep track of the current high bidders. Check every 4-5 hours. If any of the current high bidders is outbid, keep an eye on his profile. If he doesn't login within 24 hours, it's a hell of a decent mug for you!
