Posted on 01:49:58 - 10/01/24 (2 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkLooks expensive, I tried 2psu,2 heat sinks(together)and 19cpu =570k mip , 3.338 bfs which got 4 letters of 6 and hottest cpu at 51% on first 7nerve , then 3 letters of 6 and 3 cpu overheated on another 7 nerve (no edu) ....so tried putting a cpu between heatsinks, wait 4 nerve n try again

Posted on 10:46:18 - 10/01/24 (2 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkI've found this to be pretty good, when I overclock fully I get 3.19 BFS and the only thing that ever overheats are the heatsinks but they still work so have no problems, this will be my basic rig and my next one will just be lots of HPCPU's to crack a password in (hopefully) one or two tries before it overheats completely

If you want to copy layout from one chassis to another then there may be some script for that but it's not possible by default. If you're asking how to unlock more chassis then they unlock at skill levels 25, 50 and 75.
Hope it helped and next time please use questions and answers forum for stuff like this -

Posted on 13:06:54 - 02/03/24 (2 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkI think the most optimal build will change depending on how much nerve you have. Personally I'm currently on 38 nerve so I can do 5 brute force attempts which means as long as my components don't overheat at a rate of over 20% per brute force attempt I'm good.
The more nerve you have the less heat you'll want to generate, and vice versa if you don't have alot of nerve. In fact if you van only do 2 or 3 attempts heat managements not the big of an issue.
So there's not much point in 0% heat generation unless you have unlimited nerve to spend. -

Heres my layout.
Maybe I can optimize it a little more, but dont get hot.

Correct, see Emforus' guide for a more thorough listing of some sample rigs.
Currently, there are basically 3 rough styles: Max power (use in short bursts), low heat (can use a fair bit), and zero heat (can use infinitely). Probably the most efficient is to rotate your rigs around depending on your precise nerve situation (max power when just enough for 1-3 uses, low or zero heat in higher-nerve cases) but I'm too lazy, so I tend to run low heat all the time.
There used to also be an interest in 'budget' alternatives (when things like HPCPUs/Water Blocks/Heat Sinks were quite expensive) but prices have collapsed so not sure that matters as much anymore.

i have unlocked 2nd rig but heres my old setup, i checked with a rig sim and it can run 67 times , so its still not very optimized.but this is without overclocking , and without skills whatsoever.this also works very well if you are poor.i bought this all with less then like 40k,and its the result of me playing around with a tester for like an hour until i stuck with thisLast edited by Myura on 21:22:42 - 16/02/25 (1 year ago) -

According to the guides, it's actually average, you can find something better
