[Script] Remaining Time on Tab Title
-
Thread created on 18:31:44 - 30/11/23 (2 years ago)|Last replied 11:37:16 - 13/05/26 (5 months ago)A light script that displays the remaining travel, hospital, raceway, and remaining chain time (on the Factions page) as part of the tab title while at their respective pages.
For those who would like to use the tab as a timer/pomodoro etc. while doing something else on their browsers. Can edit the script to modify the title to remove the additional text, or to add a quote/reminder etc.
The script uses the time displayed on the webpage, so their respective webpages need to be open for the time to show up. (Intended feature rofl, spend time on the other things you should be doing aside from Torn haha). Doesn't use extra API calls due to this.
Might update it in the future to allow for other types of remaining times.

Update 01/12/23: Now also shows remaining Hospital time while in Hospital view.
Update 02/12/23: Shows remaining raceway time in the Raceway view and Chain time in the Factions view.

Update 2: Updated with option to parse hospital time into hh:mm:ss format via setting IF_PARSE_HOSPITAL_TIME to true, instead of just copying the natural language format from Hospital view. By default it is false.Last edited by Hesper on 07:44:09 - 01/12/23 (2 years ago) -

Untested for long periods of time though for if the tab is inactive/unopened for hours. Depending on your browser settings, the browser may suspend the page especially if your browser has settings for battery saving/suspending tabs. So I know how sensitive chain time can be so yeah. Visiting the page does mark it as "active" for the browser though so assuming you're actively playing Torn anyway while doing something else, this shouldn't be an issue. -

Hello, there doesn't seem to be much of a title bar (too smol) for the tabs on PDA so I'm afraid it's not that useful there sorry.
