Thread created on 01:12:48 - 26/11/23 (2 years ago)|Last replied 23:08:06 - 21/07/26 (2 months ago)BUSTRTorns Sexiest Bust Reminder
DESCRIPTION:- Renders a bust notification to your jail link with details about your ‘penalty score’, estimated ‘penalty threshold’ and ‘available busts
- It’s an extension of popular script by Adobi [2443510]. See his script post here.
- This was created with his full permission and utilises the solid foundations and algorithms of his script
USE
- Learn how to pick targets according to you penalty score.
- Discover that the easiest targets are not usually on the last page (using hardness score).
- Customisable color zones based on your available busts (green, orange, red)
- Orders easiest targets to top of page (so you don’t have to scroll to find them).
- Quick bust (coming soon)
- Quick bail (coming soon)
- Bust streak (coming later)
CONSTRUCTION
- Desktop view: all bust scores are displayed next to jail link
- Mobile view: available bust shown as notification. All bust scores viewable in context menu (long press or right click)
- Jail view: Hardness scores are displayed in each players row. The higher this number is the harder it will be to bust successfully.
- Hardest Score = playerLevel * ( hoursLeftInJail + 3 ).
- Example 1: lvl 10 with 6 hours in jail = hardness of 90
- Example 3: lvl 20 with 3 hours in jail = hardness of 120
- Example 2: lvl 100 with 1 hour in jail = hardness of 400
- Bust stats/scores, what they are and how they are calculated:
- “Penalty Score / Penalty Threshold : Available Busts”
- Penalty Score: Every successful bust you make you incur a penalty score of 128. This numbers is halved in 10hours and zeroed at 72hours. The higher your penalty score the more likely your are to fail at a bust and the more likely you are to be jailed.
- Penalty Threshold: The estimated ‘max penalty score’ you can achieve based on your previous bust history. This number will go up if you do an extra bust to push it higher. You can customise this score in user settings if you don’t like the prediction.
- Available Busts: How many busts you can make before you exceed your max score. This number also determines the color of the reminder notifications
OPERATION
- ‘Full access API key’ required on first use and whenever you clear your cache
- If your on PDA it may not ask you for an API key as it used your PDA one.
- The Script Lifecycle
- On page load it will render hashes ( # ) instead of numbers while it fetches your bust data
- Once bust data is fetched it will render the calculated numbers
- After your page loads it will ‘refresh’ your stats every 30s (no API call Necessary). As your penalty score will decrease if you are idle on a page for a period of time
- Every successful bust you make will trigger a recalculation of your bust stats which display the changes without ‘reloading’ your page
- Desktop displays all stats all the time
- Mobile displays available busts as notification all of the time. Displays all the stats as a context menu after a long press or right click.
- Adjusting ‘User Settings’
- Currently user settings must be changed manually via the script itself. See below screenshot for details. There are comments in the code
- Reminder Limits: change the color of your stats based on how many available busts you have.
- Red Limit: is default 0. Will change color to red if available busts are this number and below
- Green Limit: is default 3. Will change color to red if available busts (AB) are this number and above
- Orange color stats will appear when available busts are between the red and green limits
- Refresh Stats Rate: default is 30 seconds. Sets how often it will recalculate your penalty score on page that hasn’t reloaded recently
- Refetch Rate: (this will be removed soon) use to be used to set how often to refetch data from the API to be recalculated.
- Custom Penalty Threshold: set this to a positive number greater than 0 if you don’t like the predicted penalty threshold
- Show Hardness Score: defaults ‘true’. Set to ‘false’ if you don’t want to see the hardness score of jailed player and don’t want the reordering from easiest to hardest.
- If in doubt reload the page.
- If still not working ‘clear your browser cache’ (you can clear your cache in PDA too in the left sidebar settings)
- Comment here or message me direct
- This is early days so there are bound to be a few bugs that need ironing out. I have rolled out a Beta test this week with Adobi and some of my faction mates and we have found and fixed a few already. Thankyou for your patience and I hope your enjoy
FUTURE UPDATES
- Quick bust
- Quick bail
- Maybe a score board for a little friendly competition and individual challenge
- (Longest bust streak, hardest bust, most busts in 24/72hours, best 3 busts in a row)
- Make sure you update your script on Tampermonkey (PC) shown below. PDA you will have to copy paste the script (I may have a solution for automatic updates for pda later)
- My penalty threshold is ~1000 (~7.8 busts)
- I set my red limit: 3 & green limit: 5
- Bust hardness scores (HS) I aim for with each available bust (AB)
- 1 AB = 15 HS (ish)
- 2 AB = 30 HS
- 3 AB = 30-45 HS
- 4 AB = 45-90 HS
- 5 AB = 120 HS
- 6 AB = 180 HS
- 7 AB = 200HS (ish I haven’t really tested my hardest bust yet
- These have been pretty safe for me thus far. But I will definitely refine as I go and take easy busts where I can

Posted on 15:25:23 - 26/11/23 (2 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkI'm not seeing the API entry box at all. Website appears as normal in both mobile and desktop view (latest version of TornPDA, on Android), with no extra text box at the top of the page.
Also, what's the /** @format */ for at the very start? Just curious, first time I've seen a script start with this. Not all changes are for the better. #BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor

Can you double check youve enabled the script in tamper monkey.
Check your console there should be a log saying ‘? BUSTR-ACRIPT ON!!!!!’
PDA may automatically use your PDA api key
also in your dev console>storage>localstorage you can check if there is a bustrApiKey and globalBustrState
im not sure on the /** format */ I actually thought that was something tamperMonkey put in there. But could be something from my IDE.Last edited by iron on 19:29:18 - 26/11/23 (2 years ago) -

Posted on 20:03:21 - 26/11/23 (2 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkIt's only TornPDA I use, no browsers. Does it work for you in TornPDA (I've tried removing the format line, doesn't seem to make any difference).
I left it active for around 10 minutes, while using different pages, the whole time there was a white # on the Jail button but, nothing more, so I don't think it's using my API key automatically.
There's another script I saw a number of weeks ago, which relies on a similar setup (submitting an API key on the page, on first use) but, that doesn't seem to work in TornPDA either. I don't think there was a response to my query on it (no quote reply, at least, so I basically forgot about it until now X-D ). Could be a similar issue in both scripts.
Edit: I forgot the scripts writer got 'fedded', "account held until further notice", seemingly. X-D Hopefully, nothing to do with the script itself (for reference).Last edited by ThunderBlitz on 20:11:01 - 26/11/23 (2 years ago)Not all changes are for the better. #BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor

Posted on 09:45:20 - 27/11/23 (2 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkIf you're on Torn PDA it uses a Torn PDA key so you don't need one.
On PC it's at the top:
