Based on the feedback of the last session, I will not add the Chinese names of the characters for simplicity. In addition, the castle names will not be in weird pronunciation. For players from my previous game, there is no leader required and there is no unique ability of your character.





STORYLINE

Each player is a lord of his own city (determined by the alphabet). The objective of the game is to conquer as many cities as possible. The game ends when there are 4 players left. The positions will be determined by the number of cities held at the end of the game.

Survival of the fittest! Or the most scheming player rules!

Each colour represents a region. The region is important for end game purposes where all 3 lords from the same region survive!

In addition, each lord will send a daily report to the emperor. This will be like a voting round. The lord/lords who received the most vote will have some HP lost from his city.




ROLES OF THE PLAYER (by end of every round)

- You need to send a MAIL to me of your BATTLE REPORT. (More details given below)

- You need to VOTE. Failure to vote has a penalty (More details given below)

- Players are allowed to PM each other. If you guys need a discord channel for your own region, please PM me and indicate your interest.






RULES OF THE GAME

BATTLE REPORT

In each round, your city can only execute 1 action. If your city choose to do nothing, then theoretically your castle loses 0 HP (assuming no other lords are attacking you).

Your battle report has to be clear and concise. You need to indicate "Attack City (Alphabet) from City (Alphabet) " OR " Defend City (Alphabet) from City (Alphabet) "

What attacks and defends mean?

An attack can be declared (you must name against which city). Each attack executed will result in loss of 1 HP.

- If the attacked is executed and no defense is prepared by the defending party, the defending city loses 3 HP.
- If the attacked is executed and defense is prepared by the defending party, the defending city loses 0 HP.

A defense can be prepared (you must name from which city)
- If an attack is executed to your city from the correct city, your city loses 0 HP.
- If NO attack is executed to your city from that direction, your city loses 1 HP.

To summarize this portion,
- As an attacker, you will lose 1 HP as a form of "cost". If you succeed, your enemy loses 3 HP. If you fail, you wasted your action
- As a defender, you should only defend if you think an attack is incoming. Otherwise, you are putting up "meaningless" defense and you lose 1 HP
- If you choose to do nothing, you usually lose no HP assuming no one attacks your city.

The arrows: It indicates which direction you can attack from your city. For example, City A cannot attack City D as that arrow does not exist. In order for City A to hit City D, the lord from A must either conquer City C first OR lord from A must find a way to take over the cities leading up to City E or City F to attack City D.

This is now where it is different from the previous game. You can attack your own team mates!!!

For example in this scenario, A/B/C are in the same region (team). They all agree to take down the other regions first. A has chose to defend from G, B chose to attack K, C decides to attack D. However, as much as they agree, C changed his mind and attack B. This is LEGAL!
(Backstabbing from your teammates is possible in this game!!!)

Each city has a starting HP of 8.


Conquering other Cities

The last HP of city taken by the player dealing the last damage gets to take over the city. In case of 2 lords attacking the same city, the lord who has send the battle report FIRST gets the city.

Conquered Cities will have a starting HP of 4.

Surrendering is not allowed in this game. You need to attack and take over the city.

Lords controlling Multiple Cities

During the battle report, each lord can choose to add HP equal to the number of cities conquered minus 1. For example, Lord controlling city A from the start now has city B and City G. During the battle report, the lord can choose to add (3 cities controlled minus 1) = 2 HP to a city of his/her choice.

In addition, each lord has number of actions equal to the number of cities controlled by that lord. If a player has 5 cities, he has maximum of 5 actions (attack/defend/do nothing).

Your battle report again has to be very clear especially for players with multiple cities. You need to indicate "Attack City (Alphabet) from City (Alphabet) " OR " Defend City (Alphabet) from City (Alphabet) ".





Voting

This voting is a new aspect from the previous game (for those who has played my previous game).

Each Player has to/MANDATORY vote. You can vote "Player's Name" or vote "abstain" by posting in this forum. Change of vote will be unvote "Player's Name" and write vote "Player's Name".

A post with the VOTE... UNVOTE... cannot be edited. Please make a new post instead of editing the old voting post.

The player who did not vote by the end of the round, a random city belonging to that player will lose 4 HP.

The player who has received the most votes will have a random city lose 3 HP.

Players that are tied for the most votes will each lose 3 HP each. For example, if Player A and Player D are tied for the most votes received, Player A will have a random city belonging to him lose 3 HP and Player B will also have a random city belonging to him lose 3 HP.

In cases when a city becomes 0 HP due to receiving the most votes, the FIRST player who has initiated the vote against that player receives the city!!!

For every 3 cities under that player, that player has 2 additional votes. if that player controls 6 cities, has 4 additional votes.

Finally, player who has control the same color region can have 2 additional votes. if that player controls 2 regions, he or she can have 4 additional votes. (The bonuses for votes stack). So theoretically, a player who controls all 3 cities in a region has 1 (default vote) + 2 (3 cities controlled) + 2 (region controlled) = 5 votes!!!

FAQs

1) I have received 3 enquiries about the "passing through" method (means collaborating with other players to temporary allow other players to pass through to attack). So I will like to make this clear now.

Based on the ruling:

The question. "For example, I am lord of City A. I will like to attack City D. Can I collaborate with lord of City C and allow my troops to go through his city and attack City D?

The answer is: "No. As stated in the rules, in order for legal attacks on City D, only the lord of City C/E/F can attack City D. For the player who is the lord of city A to attack City D, he or she has to find a way to:

- attack and take over City C under his control. Attack City D from City C.
- attack and take over cities including City E under his control. Attack City D from City E.
- attack and take over cities including City F under his control. Attack City D from City F.

For the "passing through" method, it can only be achieved via "AN ITEM" or "EVENT".

I will like to make this game as fun and as flexible as possible. I am the only person running this game. So I can only allow as much flexibility as I can cope based on the rules.

I am impressed that the player/s has thought of this method even before I announced it. Kudos to you guys!


2) May I assist someone of the same nation of me in defending their city?

You can only defend your own city based on the rules.

You cannot defend for other cities even if they are in the same region as you.

However, to defend other players' city, it can also be achieved via "AN ITEM" or "EVENT".


3) Are our votes anonymous?

All votes has to be open as they are posted on the forum.

However again, votes can become anonymous via "AN ITEM" or "EVENT"


4) What happens when the player is out because of the battle orders and VOTING?

Battle orders are received and executed first. If a player is out by this stage, then that castle belongs to the conqueror.

If that player still survives, then the voting damage will comes into play (if any).

Oh, and any teamates I have, don't try to backstab. If anything, your game is ruined because then, 1) your other teamate won't trust you, 2) Even if you conquered the city, it would be greatly weakened, 3) no one else would dare making a deal with you, and if they did, well, they would be giving you a short rope.

Just so ya know, I will not be tolerating backstabbers and would sooner give my city to the enemy than to someone I thought was my friend but betrayed me.
