according to city hall there are 1,268,604 unique accounts in torn right now. according to yata there are 256,646 accounts with the 'earn 1,000 total battle stats' merit. earning 1,000 total battle stats puts you passed 80% of all accounts created so you're doing better than most right there. Torn has had ~37,000 log ins in the last 24 hours but lets say its an average of 40,000 unique players that play every day. Thats only 3.2% of all accounts that play everyday. now i believe you can be a big shot in a general sense of torn by being a top 1%, stats wise, of all accounts created AND you can be a big shot/living legend by being in the top 1% of active torn players. if youre battle stat rank is 12,686 or better then you have surpassed 99% of all torn players(give or take a few multi's and test accounts) which is a monumental thing, specially if youre a newer player joining a game thats been around over a decade and a half. the top 1% of active players for battle stats would be HoF rank 406 or better. those players are the best of the best as far as stats are concerned, the elite making up the top 0.032% of all accounts ever made. i wanted to do some math and have no idea where i was going with this. hitting 50m in all 4 stats makes you a big boy IMO, that is tough to do and less than 1% of players have been able to do that, though there isnt much difference between 200m and 1b as 0.6% of people have made 1b stats. though the difference between 1b and 10b is pretty big with only 0.02% (231 players) hitting 10b stats(1 in ~5000).

I'm not sure I agree with your metrics, but that's just my opinion, there are definitely players with lots of stats and money who are fairly insignificant - and others with less of both who are far more significant individuals.

Stats matter, but to be a big deal in Torn, other things matter, too. Brilliant tacticians. Exceptional traders. Devious scammers. Being that guy everyone likes. If you do things that cause you to have a wide reputation - then you are a big deal.

A big deal? I'd say: 1.) The ability to put some hurt on a Top 100 Battlestat player. (Epi/Mela/GAK with Incendiary rounds and crit laser go further than most players realize) 2.) The ability to finance a significant amount of sustainable booster training and/or stat growth with your invested networth. 3.) The ability to lead a PA team with +90% success. 4.) More than ~550 awards (though probably closer to ~555 with the recent stock market merits) 5.) Geared with advanced armor (welding helmet or hazmat suit at the moment) 6.) Top 50 or so ELO by roughly the end of October 2021 would make you a big deal in my book. 7.) Extremely well known among the community; generally through a giant trade operation, successful scamming efforts, staff role, or "forum fame."
