    Great production quality and cinematography but mediocre plot. Nothing we haven't seen before, but it handled the material fairly well, and the acting is really solid. Better than a lot of recent found footage films, but nothing all that special. The whole "something clearly wants to kill us but let's stay one more night" shtick is getting old.

    War Horse



    What a sad movie. I mean, it's a horse movie, so you KNOW that there's going to be at least one tearjerker scene, but War Horse is just one tragedy after another, hitting especially hard and fast since the first half hour of the movie is lighthearted and even humorous. Poor Albert goes through hell to try to reunite with his horse, but Joey himself goes through the kind of hell that would break down even the most hardened HUMAN soldier.

    The ending itself I felt to be extremely satisfying. I'm not gonna lie, I wept a bit. If you're looking for a "darker" horse movie, War Horse won't disappoint.

    Roses are red, violets are blue, when I listen to Metallica, the neighbors do too!
