    Who entrusted Evil-Duck with powers to ban people?!
    There was torn IRC, but if you used M-IRC you could join any room you wanted. If I remember correctly ED was in charge of one. Unless there is another guy named Evil Duck who would ban people from his room.

    Haha I'm familiar with IRC, for a moment I thought somebody had promoted Evil-Duck to staff at some stage during my absence lol

    Does anyone per chance have some screenshots of what early TORN looked like? I think I saw one a few months ago, can't really remember where. But would really be interested in seeing how TORN looked in the early days ... or maybe even just 10 or 5 years ago :-)

    Really tough to imagine for someone who joined just 1 year ago what the game was like earlier

    There used to be thousands of similar games out of there between like 2006-2010 after one of the original Torn developers sold the the first source code for torncity.

    Oldest memorable piece for me was when green leaf noobs (1-14 days old) retained their attack immunity during Eliminations.

    Still one of my proudest moments in Torn, being in the front page top attackers at 6 days old lol Quickly disappeared from the list after 14 days was run out. Now joining elims automatically forfeits your noob protection.

    And points were $5k each...

    There were no rlm accounts. You actually had to grind and chain.
    The Original Merc was a legend.
    Clansy was awesome!
    Faction chain bots and the new day shut down.
    So much more. I'll edit later as I remember.

    I remember that if you were in jail you had the option to add a reward which would show next to your name and be paid to the buster on successful bust.
    Old Torn jail was rough, you’d sit in jail for hours waiting for a bust.

    City finds are not limited per day. There's myth that you could log off at certain time then login back at xx:05 to increase odds of finding items.
    Maybe true maybe not, Found 2 SEs at that time so may be true.

    Dreaming of a Mansion property and Yasukuni.

    And memories of my dogs named after former US Presidents. Breed them well and won a lot of fights for me. Sadly, overnight - they were 'killed'. :P
