slots - multiple spins, museum - bulk exchange

New rules have made them illegal. It would be trivial to implement these options in Torn, and would save people lots of meaningless clicking. The reduced number of requests being sent in might actually reduce resource demands on the servers and therefore lag as well. While we are at it, I would love it if we could enter the amount of lottery tickets to purchase, rather than click seventy five times!Last edited by KillerDan on 17:59:15 - 23/03/17 (9 years ago)

Another one to consider would be booster usage (especially when it comes to candies)? -

just saves time and clicking -

They have autospinners on many real fruit machines. The way it was implemented on DoctorN was so it would only work if you were active on the same page... That seems like a good compromise to me.
I really enjoy the reaction of: "Some people were cheating on the stock market!? Let's ban everyone from spinning the fruit machine." -

Posted on 02:24:47 - 16/03/17 (9 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkYou do know that IRL there are slot machines in casinos that let you choose to spin a predetermined number of spins if you wish to as long as you put in the money first? So what's wrong with following a concept that was already introduced and accepted by gamblers around the world, both those who play torn and those who haven't even hear of torn before.

Posted on 02:40:57 - 16/03/17 (9 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkYou start getting mugged about 45s after you win, if someone wants to let it auto-spin 1,000 times while they go take a nap that is their mistake, and I don't see how it gives them a higher chance of winning than them sitting their and clicking 1,000 times. It's the same amount of tokens they use.
R+, Great I have 500 sets of flowers to exchance, guess I have to click 500 times. Of course I'm going to spam those clicks as fast as I can, leading to an error message every 20-30 clicks.

This was Chedburn's reply:
"This may be possible, we'll look in to it. Currently I'm not finding it very hard work however, I can click and easily make 100 exchanges per minute. It may be due to the amount of flowers / plushies you actually have on you - having thousands can really slow down the page - could this be causing your aggravation? If so, adding an [exchange all] button may not help you, it'll take absolutely ages to load."
Let's hope he'll look into it again :)Last edited by Icydraft on 03:07:38 - 16/03/17 (9 years ago) -

Posted on 03:29:25 - 16/03/17 (9 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkWhat causes the aggravation isn't having to click exchange 100 times once ever, it is that most traders will be doing large exchanges multiple times a day. I probably wouldn't see the issue if I just did a large batch one time too. I don't see the need for an exchange all(although that'd be nice), it can do it 1 at a time like DocN did,I just don't want to get carpal tunnel from clicking exchange 5000 times a day.
I'm sure someone pointed this out to him in that thread too, pretty frustrating that this never got implemented.

Posted on 14:45:28 - 20/03/17 (9 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linki really hope they don't say no just because they want to add needless "grind" to the game. This is a long term, text-based game, so why should you have to spend a ton of time in the UI? They already have casino tokens as a limit to prevent abuse. as for the plushie thing, i feel like a more elegant solution would be to allow people to exchange more than one set at a time. But again, all of this is moot if they "want" there to be a grind aspect (which doesn't seem to be in line with other gameplay design decisions other than the fact that you have to log in everyday to get best results)
