No, the alt-right is not "rising" and dark enlightenment is not happening. People are not clamoring for less freedom. If anything, classic liberalism is making a comeback, not f**king absolutist monarchies. The whole notion that liberal democracies are failing because they are liberal democracies is false, liberal democracies fail when they forget they are supposed to be LIBERAL. Just because radical leftists call everyone right to communism a fascist it doesn't mean the far right is gaining traction, no one is rising to power promising to instate fascist dictatorships.
