    Do you think Sweet Potato Village is a good village name?
    For what it's worth, villages are often named after something noteworthy in the area. Portland is full of shipping ports for instance... But in a fantasy, you literally can name it anything that strikes your fancy.

    Somewhere east coast from like NY to Miami. Crime and shit obviously. Most importantly, I'd like something not only in but stylistically informed by the era, if that makes sense. Like an 80s bullshit action movie in text form.

    Sounds pretty straightforward and promising. I'd say take a look at some of the other threads on the forum that had good participation, style it on that, and then come up with a prompt and make it happen.

    Hmm, I'd say track down Kals 80s thread, end of the oath I think it was called, so you can differentiate from it, limit overlap you know. As far as just general good threads, Wood's Lost Battalion springs to mind. I am also biased towards Akira and I's starship zeta.
