Yeah sure, depends what you want to do with it. Definitely lots to explore in the setting and lots of good stories to be had. Many war threads fall into the trap of endless boring "AHH TAKE COVER PEWPEWPEWPEW BANG AAAAAAHHH SARG NO." or alternately unfocused rambling.

Now I like unfocused rambling, but most don't. If you want to talk about mechanics or settings, I'm available intermittently lol.

Action certainly has a place, it's a war thread after all, but the action needs to be in service to something to have feeling. There needs to be stakes, not just people typing they run into a room and shoot all the bad guys, then run into the next and do the same.

Breaks in the action, consequences, and character building. Good war movies have them, good war books have them, video games sometimes but that's a different sort of media. Point is, remember the thread is a story, and not a contest for who can post the edgiest thing, or rack up the biggest imaginary kill count.
