Heya!

I'm new to Torn, but have been writing/RPing for a long while. I'm a newbie when it comes to forums, though, so apologies in advance.

Anyone have suggestions on threads to check out or any particular favorites? Even if they've been quiet for a while, I'm down for helping resuscitate them.

Feel free to visit my profile, click on my profile picture, and snag a medallion.  I made that long ago and any proud role player is welcome to use it!

Wood’s Tavern is the longest ongoing thread and really easy to jump into.  While the forum has peaks and valleys of activity, don’t hesitate to light a garbage fire in the archives if something tickles your fancy.

So many of my favorite stories were created by AkiraDawn, who sadly departed Torn a while back.

From fantasy to historical, present day Torn, to outer space, there is a place for it here.

Best advice?  Be patient, as replies aren’t always quick. Have fun!  Try out new things, and enjoy Torn life!

I'll check out AkiraDawn's work. Might prove to be good inspiration! I guess I have a lot of reading to do to check out all those archives. I'm always down for some arson :P !

Back from TornCon USA, which was amazing!  Caught Covid, but was worth the fun!  Met so many incredible players and hope to go again next year.  Hope all of our RP clan is doing well.

Oh yes, a very ancient one.  Forged long before Torn City was on the map.  If you wish to join, you must first quest to find the secret handshake (or a tasty milkshake might work :).  Once you have discovered this deeply discreet greeting, head to Wood's Tavern and speak to Nona the Cat.

an irl guest was the last thing i expect this year... but DAM straight I'm finding that handshake (i could make you a killer milkshake though ;>)

That could prove to be quite a challenge based on just this information. Any more clues as to where to start by any chance? Else I fear I'm never going to make it to member...

So gang, I had an amusing idea.  Since our forum is being trashed with marriage proposals and those seeking significant others... I challenge you to respond in 'top form role player style' to these messages to make them more amusing, and less annoying to read.  Remember to be kind (haha, yeah right... in Torn?  But try!) and invite the one who posted to explore more of our section.  What do you think?

This could be especially fun when some of the stories fall dormant.

Hi RP forum!  I hope you are having a great start to the weekend.  If you get to enjoy the Labor Day holiday (US), have a good one.  Technically the last vestiges of Summer.

It is nice to see some activity again in the RP forum!  Thanks Tennessee, Skellington, Siri, and some new faces for participating in Wood's Tavern.  Other threads are popping up as well... that aren't just marriage requests!  Yay!

I will be out of town Sept. 5-9, so if I don't respond during those dates, you know I'm traveling.  Wishing everyone well, sending hugs, and positive vibes!
