    Finally, the release of v6 is in sight. It's been 357 days for me (as of September 23rd), as development started on October 1st, 2020. I greatly underestimated the duration of building an extension with a huge set of features from scratch. I've put hundreds of hours, likely more than a thousand even, on this new version. And that's excluding the hours put in by bandirao and other contributors.

    Even though it took this long, even though it was incredibly exhausting (especially combining it with my last year of college and my first weeks at my first job), I feel like it was worth it. I've been excited for this since the start of the year. It's so much more pleasant to use, and work on. These last few weeks have been even more exciting, as the end of this project was finally in sight. Looking forward to your experiences with it.

    General error reporting instructions:
    We generally use TornTools Discord server for any of this, but Torn forums is a good place too. Before you post that you have any error, please make sure to include the following information:
    1. Whether you are on PC or mobile.
    2. The browser you are using.
    - On PC, this can basically be anything: Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Brave Browser, Opera, etcetra.
    - On Mobile, this would be either Kiwi Browser or Yandex Browser as only those 2 browsers support extensions.
    3. The version of TornTools you are on.
    - This can be found by visiting the changelog section in TornTools preferences page.

    General debugging instructions (for PC only):
    1. Open the browser's console.
    - This can be done by pressing F12.
    2. Look for any logs with red background and red X, like this:

    3. Screenshot those logs and post them here(you can also DM me in Torn or post them in TornTools Discord server). Be sure to censor your API key, if it is in those screenshots.
    Any of our developers may contact you for additional information. Never provide your API key to anyone.

    If you've found this thread then we're just setting it up for the release of Version 6. No need to keep reserving posts :D.

    Version 6 has had everything re-written for better stability and speed. Be sure to check out our discord for the release announcement (it will probably be posted here as well).

    I fixed this by uninstalling then reinstalling TornTools.

    Same as Scathe, I've managed to get around this by fully removing TornTools (and it's old data) from FireFox and re-installing. Loses all your previous settings, but should get it working again if others are having the same issue. Firefox was a bit stubborn letting go of the old extension data so I had to remove, restart browser a couple of times, then reinstall and it sets things back to default.

    Great job with the 6.0 release TT team, thanks for all your hard work!

    While losing your data sounds like a bad tradeoff, I'll let you in on a little secret: you would have lost everything (except for vault information) anyway.

    The storages are pretty much incompatible, and due to the amount of new settings, we decided that resetting wasn't a bad idea as people would look through the settings again.

    I wrote a script to use Torn's Black/White and it so much more usable, would be much appreciated.

    Does the alternative theme not make it for you either? It is green text on black background.

    Green has been TT's color the whole time and don't really want to lose the "identity" if I may. If you guys still feel like customizable colors are something that's needed then feel free to upvote Untouchable's post so we can see the feedback.
