But torn has graphs too? Why use this site instead of torn?

This site provides you with more analytical tools and views that let you see what's happening with each stock much better. Also works very well on mobile. It's not for everyone, but if you're serious about stock trading, you're gonna love it (i hope).

The blacking out issue should be fixed with today's update. Let me know if it happens again.
I have a couple ideas in works atm, including the "favorite" system. It will be implemented eventually, but it is not a priority yet.

Thanks for the tool.. It's more than what we can hope for. Now it is possible to have stock trading as a career on Torn.

I've added a couple new "indexes".
- TCSE (a sum of all stocks)
- TORN (weighted average of all stocks, using "total_shares" as a weight)... this one is "experimental", I'm not really sure myself whether it's useful or not yet...

Could someone explain the length meaning or perpose in the indicators

It is the "total_shares" parameter, which is returned from the API using https://api.torn.com/torn/?selections=stocks&key=KEY
It tells how many shares of the stock are owned by torn players.

For SMA / EMA indicators it basically sets how many "periods" you want to include in the calculation. You can read about it here: https://www.investopedia.com/terms/s/sma.asp

I have a suggestion. Ched confirmed that he interfered wirh Stocks to stabilize it after stocks 3.0. Would it be possible to add a button to filter out all the data before that day?
That way what we see would be a true reflection of the current trends and not be influenced by previous data.

Hm, from what I understood - that interference wasn't a one time thing. It is a bit difficult to pinpoint when exactly it happened, because different stocks got affected differently. But looking at the daily TCSE chart (which I recently updated to "fix" the jumps that happened with introduction of new stocks - ASS and MUN): https://prnt.sc/1xda7yf

You can see the trend didn't really change - it's just that the candles themselves got a bit smaller sometime in august, indicating less volatility.
