Glad to finally announce the release of the unofficial API documentation. It's been worked on for over 6 months, but it's finally in a state where I'm comfortable in actually putting it out there.

Unofficial API Documentation
Torn's official page for API information doesn't really document everything that you'd need to know to work with the API. Some things are lacking, some things are just straight missing.

Query parameters aren't listed anywhere, neither is the cache or the 'cloud limit'. Want to know how to get a link for creating an api key directly, or did you not know it even existed, go find the correct forum post? Getting the layout of requests was entirely up to you for trying them, don't have the correct faction permission or not a company director? Though luck, ask around till you find it out yourself.

Those are the issues we try to resolve with this unofficial documentation. It's a community effort for changes, getting information or just general feedback. Our TornAPI community is located on Discord, which you can join yourself. Since it's a community effort, it's also open sourced on GitHub under the MIT licence.

Looking for some feedback again, this time on a search functionality. It lists selection and field names that contain the search term. By now it should be clear that I'm a developer and not a designer, so feedback on design improvements is obviously welcome as well.

I do not have any real experience working with Torns API, but I have spent some time reading your unofficial documentation.

Generally speaking, it is quite accessible and easy to follow.

Tried out the search function and it works very well for me.

No idea how it looks of course, but it reads well with my reader.

Just thought I would let you know. :)

You have to parse it. But the market value in torn/items updates once a day (at midnight i believe), so if you want the market value for some hot items, probably better off taking bazaar / market selections for that item and deriving a current market value yourself.
