Gotta check out Safemoon, they just had their first audit and it was a success, I can help with buying questions
Be very careful with this one. These are coins made with a few clicks of a button, and is very unlikely to have any real development. It is pure hype. Also their market cap is apparently 4.4bn... you should be aiming for 10x at least in this space to make sure the risk/reward makes sense, and this ain't going to 40bn... Lol!

    undertheradar [1882662]

Mostly the majors BTC, ETH, LTC for holding plus XRP, ADA, IOT and BNB just in case they take off.

Bought DOGE just because of the hype and will watch it closely to sell before it tanks. Shit coins with no tech behind them get run up and then flame out. There is money to be made in the run up.

Bad experiences with Kraken as well, so I use Binance for all the crazy little coins. I use GDAX which is the "professional" version of Coinbase for holding majors. The interface is less user friendly but the fees are a quarter of the price.

99bitcoins and WorldcoinIndex for tracking and news

    Blunt [2076337]

Can't hate on that portfolio at all... thats like THE standard.

Just curious if you stake your ADA? And do you use your BNB on the binance exchange at all, or just hold for long term gains?

Can't bring myself to get into DOGE, especially after all the pumps. I'm sure it will keep going... but id just rather invest that $$ into something else. Who knows though,, maybe if there is a massive dip at some point in the next few weeks I may just say "F it" and throw some money into it

    undertheradar [1882662]

I'm really only HODLing the majors - the rest I could let go of in a heartbeat.

I need to stake the ADA but haven't gotten around to it yet. I had my NEO staked but sold it recently.

The BNB is for exchanging since I don't want to waste the BTC on buying risky coins.

Completely understand your feelings about DOGE, I'm really just betting on Musk to hype it enough to turn a profit. My $90 investment turned into $500 this week. I'm not sure I would buy that one after the dip because it's nothing but hot air anyway - once it deflates I'm not sure it can be refilled.

    Blunt [2076337]

Lol I'll rephrase... if it hits a major dip before 50 cents. Beyond 50 cent (and we almost got there) I feel is when DOGE is in the most danger of someone like the winklevos twins coming in and absolutely devastating the price with huge shorts.

I fully believe the communal push to 1$ will happen, under certain circumstances though. I even have non crypto people coming up to me like "should I invest in doge, do you think it will hit a dollar?". He'll, even on the radio the one guy was saying he made 35k on doge, and had everyone on the station trying to buy at 40 cents lol.
The sheer amount of hype around DOGE is genuinely amazing.

But again it's more of a fun one, throw your money in and hope. I would never drop serious money in it. I am considering buying into SHIBA tho or one of the other meme coins that are pumping 8000% in a day and cost 0.000000001 rn

    TheOwl [1316121]

Did you buy it? It's done a 10x since you got it. For real though this is my philosophy - if none crypto people start talking about buying it, it's time to sell.
Nahhh I didn't buy in. The hype is there, but I still can't get behind a hype coin that lacks fundamentals.

Would rather take that same money and invest it into VET or ONE or something else in that price range. Something with a strong fundamental backing and active development.

I honestly believe I got into crypto too late this cycle. I'll make some money, don't get me wrong... but im too late on the "life changing wealth" this cycle.

I'm trying to be fairly conservative during the bullrun, and plan on selling EVERYTHING by the end of 2021.

2022: I will hold nothing at all as the prices dump back down to the bottom.

2023: is when I begin to dollar cost average back into crypto. I plan on getting in on the launch pads cheap... ie CARDS, POLS, DAO, etc. Not only do the launchpad tokens do well in and of themselves, but they will buy me access to the initial dex/coin offerings (such as polkamon, which sold for $0.15 private-sale, and shot up above $40 immediately on public sale). THAT is where I plan on making the BIG money.

2024: once I secure enough holdings in the major launch pads, I'll be DCAing back into my current holdings... ADA, VET, ETH, etc, as well as grabbing the good IDOs.

    2025: Join the millionaires club

In the time between bull runs, ill also be looking into dual citizenship or maybe setting up an offshore 401k or business so I can buy into the many things that aren't available to Americans. Dual citizenship is pricey though, so ill likely have to look into the other options, and use an offshore "entity" to make purchases legally that would otherwise not be available to me.

All assuming the government doesn't do anything to f**k things up in terms of regulation during that time

i now sternly believe that the SEC needs to investigate elon musk and see if he opened a short anywhere or anyone he knows did, before his words that sent the market down. its highly suspicious and needs investigating and as much as i like him theres a possibility he now deserves a jail cell next to john mcafee.

He has been investigated before, more than once iirc. Has also paid like a 2mil fine for it (again iirc). He stopped tweeting about crypto entirely for a while after all that, then went crazy about doge, then this.

All I can say.... buy the dip. As SOON as I saw it, I liquidated most every altcoin I had, moved it over to an exchange, waited for an entry below 50k, and opened a low leverage long and a futures contract. 2billion dollars got liquidated over his tweet... but "there is money to be made when there is blood in the streets."

As far as he goes, and MANY have pointed out, Elon Musk and his companies destroy the environment to the extent of 1000x+ compared to crypto as a whole in terms of energy use and the resources that consumes. A single SpaceX test flight does more damage to the environment than bitcoin has done in its existence.

What appears obvious to me, is a series of events:
1 - Tesla accepts btc as payment
2 - people being buying Teslas with btc
3 - btc price goes down (elon FOMOed in at 60k price point essentially)
4 - "Tesla will no longer accept btc because its bad for environment"

Unless he also announces having sold off all his holdings in BTC, it's quite apparent that the environment isn't truly his concern, or he'd liquidate his holdings entirely

Tough to say because it still appears they are fairly early in the project, with nothing more than the name "atari" behind it.

They had a licensed partner, that failed, and they just last year found a new partner and have been making moves. It's one that I'd keep my eye on but wouldn't put money in rn...

But thats just my thoughts. Again, I'm fairly conservative with where I put my limited funds, AND I also like to see community sentiment behind a project before I'd put money there.

    I didn't sign up xD

I love free money, but the pi tokens aren't even usable right? Like, you can't buy/sell them can you? I might be thinking of the other one you mine on your phone, but im pretty sure pi was the one that you can't sell

Pi Crypto can't be sold currently, because it's not backed by any exchanges - It's the same as Bitcoin at inception

The whole "Refering people makes mining easier" seems incredibly suspicious to me though

Yea but bitcoin at inception was the only cryptocurrency. Or is at least the "godfather" of crypto as we know it (I'm sure there were other obscure cryptos that predated it).

You can't compare Pi to BTC at inception, because there are SOOOOO many protocols, bridges, blockchains, and exchanges now, there is no reason why it wouldn't be listed. THAT makes it shady to me, on top of anything else they may be doing...

especially when people are making meme coins, which can be done fairly easily with a bit of programming knowledge, and getting them listed on swaps all over. It's not complicated, so it has to be done for another reason, and I can't think of a GOOD reason to purposefully prevent your user base from being able to openly trade THEIR currency.

making meme coins requires no programming knowledge, you can apparently just copy paste the script for the ERC20 token and its just a case of filling in a name field and so on lol

basically most of the meme and scam coins can be made in 1 second and they are basically just like script kiddy things.

the problem used to be getting the coin listed on a exchange to get people to buy it. but with the rise of defi swap sites that problem is no more as anyone can make up a coin, put it on uniswap, and get free money and not care about what happens to that coin. which is why we have a ton of rug pulls and exit scams and why i dont use the swap sites.

Considering that literal pump and dump schemes are technically legal with crypto (as opposed to equities where there is regulation), I highly doubt that there is anything the SEC can do here.
