I'd buy absolute garbage like BCH if the charts looking good. I wouldn't hold XMR long term myself but each to their own!

But what does decentralized mean for/to you?

I mean, yea you can make truly private transactions on the network as a node operator, but unless your buying drugs and stuff on the dark web, there's no need for Monero in every day life.

Not that XMR doesn't have A usecase, but its usecase is so niche I dont see it being "of value" beyond w.e the market values it at. Aka I don't see a long term tech that will keep XMR in the limelight.

ADA sitting at the 1.0 line of resistance on the Fib retracement. Sold some more ADA here ($2.50), and expecting a retrace to around $2.20, or possibly a move up above the 1.0 which would give us a clear road straight up to 3.50 before the next Fib level at the 1.618 line

How's everyone's bags holding up? Hopefully we're all making some money right now!

I couldn't resist and went for another 1k on XRP. Again out of the 3 (BTC, ETH and XRP) it is again the one that is performing better.

XRP is way undervallued since their legal issues, so i see it as one of those with most growth potential in comparisson.

Of the "decent" ones ADA also seesm to keep growing above average, but i really don't like to jump on the overhyped ones, because when it crashes it's fast, and its hard...

DOT (Polkadot) also seems quite solid and on par with XRP in recent gains.

These are usually the 5 i keep track of, and consider to be "safe" enough for me to put my money at (but again long term is just BTC and ETH still).

ADA continuing to make new ATHs ahead of Sept 12th smart contracts release... im pretty happy with myself lol.

My average purchase was between $1.20-1.40, but ive been slowly moving out of it. Expecting a nice retrace from ATHs after smart contracts drops.

Glad to hear everyone else is doing well!

Currently in Portugal at least, there is no legislation on it. So there is no tax to worry about.

There are not all that many countries with proper legislation on it, so it might be the case that you are not suposed to be taxed even...

But you can always cash out to somewere else that not your bank account, some middle man like Paypal or AdvCash and then send smaller amounts to your account that wont flag anything.

(Like most casual players do with Poker gains)

Upgrade to a business account and apply for a PayPal access card (if available in your country). It allows you to spend your PayPal balance and also use it at cash machines

    Something to consider

Got XRP @ average £0.31 and Etherium average is £1100

Honestly I watch a lot of videos about what people think each will rise to before 2022 what’s your guys opinions as I’m pretty happy with my current profits and don’t want to get greedy and have to wait years to cash out at a good profit.

PS have already took my initial investments back out so it’s all profit as it is

XRP is a tough call because we don't truly know the effect that the lawsuit has had on XRP and what will happen in the aftermath. Going onto mainstream exchanges should obviously pump volume and increase price, Ive heard many people say $3-5 realistically, but again that's dependant on the lawsuit. Somewhere above $3 was the previous ATH, so its not unreasonable to imagine seeing those numbers and then some.

ETH will at least hit ATHs (probably sooner than later) around 4.3k, and then from there? 5-6k is conservative, possibly 8k+ per ETH. NFTs are really going to work to drive up the price of ETH with the new burning mechanism on the network. Opensea has burned more ETH than anything else on the network by a lot, which is good overall, short term and long.

Thats all for THIS bull run which many agree will top out and end sometime in the next 3 month or so (towards the end of this year). Your either going to want to sell sometime in that time period, or hold on for another 3-4 years for the next bull cycle top.

Your purchase prices are around the prices ETH/XRP will likely drop back down to mid bear market. XRP @ $0.25-0.80 ea, ETH @ $1100-2100 is what I'm expecting to see in the bear market, which I'd expect to be at its deepest/bear-est at the turn of 2022 into 2023.

My PERSONAL plan for my holdings, is to slowly sell everything (making short term buys if/when they present themselves) over the next month and a half. I'll hold a small amount of tokens in a few staking pools, and then keep the rest of my income in USDC so I have cash ready to buy back in when prices are at their lowest end of 2022/early 2023.

    That's the greed talking :p

Taking profit isn't losing, even if it would have been possible to make a bigger profit if you held longer.

People have to remind me of that shit sometimes too. That's why I've found it easier to ladder out... selling once a week as prices continue to rise let's me realize profit, AND enjoy the continued price movements as I do.

I use a Fibonacci retracement (pictured below) to set my price points for buying and selling now. It gives key levels of support/resistance based on previous high and previous low using math. You can see (pic below) how the candles touch a line, and tend to bounce off of it in the opposite direction. Fib lines + coinbase pro order books to see if the buying or selling pressure is better at certain price points gives me a good idea of where to buy and where to sell.

    Fib retracement:

The above is Cardano on the daily chart. I have a fib retracement on the large timeframe, as well as a smaller retracement on a smaller timeframe layered over it (that's why towards the bottom of the chart the lines are at odd intervals). Together I get a clear short term/long term point of reference for setting buy/sale prices at.

    Coinbase Pro Order Book:

The center line is the current price. Green side is buying pressure, red side is selling pressure, and at what price. As you can see, from 2.866 to $3 has almost no selling pressure, but right above $3 the red line jumps significantly. That tells me that $3-3.5 is going to be a tough hurdle to jump, so I'd set a few sales at $3, 3.1, 3.2, etc., while also setting buys on the opposite end.

If all of that is too technical, you could also just sell at regular intervals regardless of the price movements. As long as your in profit, especially if your in significant profit, you'll do well using this method. Simple, low stress.
