    Prestindantilas [2360586]

This morning, as I sipped some coffee outside my front door listening to the cheeps of some Palm Warblers and the calls of several Eastern Bluebirds from the highline wires overhead, I saw a quick flash of motion and a scattering of birds as a Cooper's Hawk flushed from the nearby baldcypress and took a young Bluebird out of the air as it fled over the neighbor's yard. Almost made me spill my coffee as I scrambled to get a better view!

    #AlwaysBeBirding (even while drinking coffee)
Wow, that's awesome! I was at a local park the other day and got a nice group of warblers:

    Northern Parula
    Magnolia Warbler
    Lack-and-White Warbler
    Bay-Breasted Warbler/B;ackpoll Warbler
    Pine Warbler

Yesterday I managed to see two American Bitterns. That is always a great find!

How has everyone's Birding been going?

Had a Swainson's Warbler in a tree two houses down from mine the other day! Quite unexpected!! That was a very nice Lifer for me!

That lot is vacant and wooded with different hedges around the perimeter and always draws in a lot of birds.

When I'm bored I'm playing with my birdie
Because it's adorable That's why I bought it My birdie is my best friend We have so many satisfying short moments I often feed it with bird seed my birdie is funny It's like a cobra that loves pecking When it's released from the cage Our enjoyment is continuous I am not really selfish I just don't want anyone else touching it! My birdie is a little hostile Just a bit of touching it will surely get angry and I love my birdie 😊

During our Migration period out at the Center for Birds of Prey in Awendaw SC we utilized radar to pick up targets of those who were flying so high one would have missed them. They also utitlized a professional counter who had a spotter glass and had never used radar as a tool. He did see a Swallow tailed kite, in Nov, which is late in the season and also saw a Swainson's Hawk. Rare in South Carolina. Some didn't believe he saw the kite, but he had an awesome camera and had pics for proof.

A couple of weeks ago, I saw 2 Baltimore Orioles at my feeder. We have a lot of Red bellied woodpeckers, hairy and downy woodpeckers, tit mouse, chickadees, Blue Jay, Cardinals everywhere and will be waiting for the Purple Martins to return in Spring.

Wow, niiceeee! I'm hoping for a GOEA or NOGO next fall, failed once again this season xD.

Ducks are plentiful around me now. Had a Loon recently, as well as 1000s of gulls (RB and HEGU).

    Anyone do the CBC?

I wanted to do the CBC but I ended up with horrible bronchitis, and actually I am still not 100% over it yet :(

I have been just going local lately, but got some cool lists from just right here in the neighborhood, including a Yellow-Breasted Chat which was hanging out in the lantana right outside the dining room window! That was a fun one!!

Nice, I've only had one YBCH, at a local park. Is a bit of a rarity here. I had my first Tree Sparrows the other day, as well as a lifer Lesser Black-backed Gull
