Kinda, I am always looking at the birds at my feeder, and I take care of a Boat-tailed Grackle that I found 7 years ago whilst mowing my lawn.

I am but haven't been too active in recent years, a few months back I got my first ever Swainson's Thrush. I think my life list, I would have to count up, is somewhere between 100 and 200 some odd

Sweet! Ive seen of those, Scarlet Tanager, B&W Warbler, Indigo Bunting. Those are all actually pretty common where I live in migration season! But I could never see a Painted or spoonbill here, and a Least Bittern would be quite the rarity! What's your life list? Mine is 200 at the moment

I am a Birder in Florida, Gulf Coast.
I have a Life List of 292 but have never been out west yet, which I plan to do soon and will bring that number up!

    Anyone use eBird??

For about a year I have barely posted any lists outside of a couple miles from my house, but I try to do my neighborhood every day. It keeps me feeling connected to the changing of seasons more than anything else can in FL *LOL*

I have never been able to go to a really good hawkwatch...and probably won't be able to again this year either.
That is a major goal for me next season.

I did have a Merlin do a flyby when I was at the beach the other day, scattering all the Sanderlings, Semipalmated Plovers, and Ruddy Turnstones (among others)

This morning, as I sipped some coffee outside my front door listening to the cheeps of some Palm Warblers and the calls of several Eastern Bluebirds from the highline wires overhead, I saw a quick flash of motion and a scattering of birds as a Cooper's Hawk flushed from the nearby baldcypress and took a young Bluebird out of the air as it fled over the neighbor's yard. Almost made me spill my coffee as I scrambled to get a better view!
