Have two cats and an African Grey Parrot.

Also one of the cats has a playmate outside, in a squirrel. They will play with each other’s tails. It’s so funny, not got it on camera yet, cos each time I try they run away.

I prefer cats. So much less work. I have 2 black ragdoll kittens. My only grievance is a slight one. They both use my sofa as a scratching post smh.

I suppose its better than my staffy (which sadly passed away summer last year) who during his 8 years with me has wrecked 6 sofas and countless pairs of footwear.

He even had a thing for tearing up paper (had done since a puppy). When you try to explain to your kids teachers that the dog ate their homework, it is usually met with a raised eyebrow and a look of sheer disbelief. Lol

Well, my reason is my reason and you have to ground to decide my reason is not reasonable enough.

Cats are independent by nature and dog need to be in a pack by nature.

I do not have the time to give a dog the love attention that he needs to live a hwalthy life.

A cat does not need any of those, is cleaner and keeps bugs and pests from the property.

Also, having pets here is not easy on resources as it accounts for an additional family member.

A dog needs to be train, dog psychology is very important, I see so many owner getting owned and being dominated by their dog while they should be the head of the pack.

But I have to say, a dog is much much more binded to you while a cat still is but their nature orders them to act differently, like, am the God here, peasant.

But my cat always comes to me when i am depressed or ill.

I love both. But, my dog is my best friend. She's a 3 year old Red Merle Aussie.

She loves going on trail rides with me (yea, I like horses too). And "protects" me from any new "mean" people.

My cat just looks at me and claws me if I try to pet her.

Both- I'm also an Aussie owner -tricolored- and she is the sweetest, smartest cinder block on legs I have ever owned. The key is keeping them engaged and active, training never really ends. My cat rules the roost- and we are but slaves to her whims. But she cuddles and is a constant source of entertainment .my Cat and dog play chase, and wrestle  so they are good companions for each other.

I like cats just fine, but I'm deathly allergic to them. They have a place, out in the barn killing the mice and snakes!

My dogs are not just dogs. I train Psychiatric Service Dogs, so I'm used to keeping working dogs entertained and with ME at all times. Life without a dog just sucks. As soon as I can afford to take care of a dog again, I'm getting another one!

    Beerstein [1322136]

Cats are for lazy people, dogs are for everyone else. Jesus **** taking care of dogs (properly) is a lot of work.

Dogs are for people who want to be treated as a diety. Cats are for people who are strong enough to have a deity sit on your chest at 4 in the morning demanding a sacrifice...

Cats smell, their litter boxes stank, there's always litter everywhere, and they all look the same, just different colors.

Dogs poop outside, therefore, no stank. Dog breath smells better than (my) cat's breath. They're loyal, not *******s. They come in all shapes and sizes, ears, noses, faces. Dogs ftw.

In reality, I have 5 cats and no dogs.

Also, reptiles ftw. I have 5 of those too.
