- 2 Eggs
- 2 Cups Sugar
- 4 Cups Flour
- 1 Scant Teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Cup Crisco
- 1 Cup Sour Milk
- 1 Rounded Teaspoon Baking Soda
- 1/2 Teaspoon Nutmeg (Optional)
- 1 Teaspoon Vanilla (Optional)
Set oven to 350 or 360 degrees Freedom Units, around 176 or 180 Celsius.
Drop by teaspoon on on a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 12 minutes, or until done.
Dough may be frozen or refrigerated. It's easier to use it after it's been in the fridge.Golden Glow Frosting- 1/2 lb Butter
- 3 Cups 10-X Sugar (Confectioners’ Sugar)
- 1/4 Cup Boiling Water
Melt butter on medium heat in saucepan.
When the butter is golden brown, add 3 cups of 10-X sugar.
Then add 1/4 cups of boiling water.
Stir until everything is smooth and holds its shape.
Frosting also freezes well and can be kept in the refrigerator.
Reheat any leftover frosting to frost more cookies. And here is the final product!24 | EST | Chronically Tired
