So with the pizza I guess you are ordering it since you said you do not want to make anything. For New Years Eve I do pizza, where I make my own. I buy the dopugh from a local Italian bakery. And then build my own. ( I could make my own dough but I would rather not do as much work and their dough is good.)

For New Years Eve besides regular like pizza. I make a potato pizza. One year years ago, I had the idea to make a potato pizza. And I have been doing it ever since. over 20 or so years now.
For the potato pizza, you mash the potatoes with butter and milk you can leave them slightly lumpy, but then miix in garlkic, thyme, basil, oregano, rosemary.
Mix garlic and the same herbs in some olive oil and spread it thinly on the dough first then add the potato. THen add mozzerella and parmesian cheese on top and then bake.

Christmas Eve has it's own meal. Though it is small though we did a lot different when we were little. THough it is egg noodles with plain sytuffing mix, break up the crumbs a bit. THen after the noodles are cooked but them in a pan with butter and the bread crumbs. then wer have Green beans and Tofu. then my mom sometimes want a soup. (I do not eat soup)
As for Christmas itsellf. I have so much to make. Scalloped potatoes, My noodle dish which is roasted potatoes (russet potatoes, yellow potatoies, red potatoes, Blue potatoes) carrots, greeen beans, and celery mixed with Thyme Basil, Oregeno, parsley seeds, and 2 to 3 flakes of kosher salt (Parsley makes seeds if you grow your own and let it grow for a second year. Then it seeds up the next year) Then the noodles have a whole wheat noodle, and then find a green noodle, like a spinach one. THen at the end mix the same herbs in olive il, and in a pan on low and the put in fresh parsely chopped a bit . And then pour over the noodles. IT tastes better if it sits a day ( in the fridge) The noodle dish is better the next day because the herb oil soaks into the potatoes and vegetables better.

Also and plenty of other things. Gren beans, rolls, corn casserole, possibly sweet potatoes, Carrots from my garden. That is it for what I like, But my mom makes things like something she calls rigatoni baby. although it has fusilli noodles in it. THen it has spahgetti sauce and cheese and stuff. like a lasangi with different noodles and not layerd. Then she probably wants mushrooms and she might make spinach pie again.

Then for Desert Stollen, Fruitcake, cookies of 14 different viarities Purple ice cream. That is grape juice ice cream. OH I forgot about the yule log. Filled with aprocot jam, Hazelnut pralene, and chocolate french butter cream. ( (Talking about the cookies in the next part. I was trying to fit in things before I forgot about them and then it did not fit in as nicely and notw you get this word mess.) (think I cut down a bit this year I still have a lot to make though))

I have the Fruitcake, Stollen, and one cookie rolled out already the dough is made for 3 other cookies. Making more today.

Traditions are great but sometimes I'd really like to switch it up.

I'm doing up some bloody mary granita oysters, shepards pie baked potatoes, cheddar broccoli soup with a parmesan crisp, and a peking turkey I will in all likelihood completely balls up. Nothing says christmas quite like a mini mental breakdown over the main course getting ruined!

We ordered from a local barbeque place this year. Ham and all the side dishes. We decided to NOT do ridiculous this year...the only baking I'm doing it Christmas Cookies, and really that's just over-seeing three teenagers. Merry Christmas!
