    In South Africa an Oxtail "potjie" (stew made in a cast iron 3-legged pot over fire) is a very social and delicious meal for a gathering. I decided to step it up a notch and smoked this oxtail over some pecan wood for 3.5 hours before starting the "potjie" and drowing it in a bottle of sherry. Doesn't look as nice as a typical brisket but tasted amazing!
