Yes, I know it was kinda bad, but I do plan on trying again to make it better :) I'm not used to making a lot of more American dishes (Is it American? Could never tell xP) Anyways, it got me wondering what everyone's favorite breakfast dishes are? I'd love to see/hear everyone's opinions (and possibly recipes) for it!

I like to eat eggs with a runny yolk inside 2 slices of bread, anything bread honestly ahah◉_◉

But, I never have time to make anything like that throughout the week. So it's usually always a banana and oatmeal for breakfast every day.

You want to use thick-sliced bread, and for your egg mix you want to have about 1 large egg per slice. crack the eggs, stir em' up, add a splash of milk and some cinnamon, stir the eggs again, then soak the toast and add it to a hot skillet. I usually sprinkle cinnamon on one side of the bread, but it depends on how much you like cinnamon. cook, then serve with maple syrup. -

Honestly, not always a morning meal. I'm known to eat eggs, bacon, pancakes for dinner b/c it's so easy.
Fried eggs my favorite, in the rendered pork fat.
- over medium please
But scrambled will get a pinch of dried mustard powder.
Craving milk these days too, not sure why. -

If I could only have one breakfast forever it would be a poached egg on buttered toast, but since everyone here is talking eggs I'll go with my other favorite: overnight oats!
1. I love starting with a grain and fruit, keeps my full until a late lunch.
2. You make it the night before so there's no cooking! You open your fridge and there it is in all its glory!
3. It's just as easy to make 4 at a time as it is one, so that's four quick and easy breakfasts made in like 5 minutes.
Here's a link to explore
Me, I have my own which is
.5 cup rolled oats
.5 cup oat milk
.5 cup plain kefir (like a drinkable yogurt)
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1 tablespoon Canadian maple syrup
And then either half a cup of blueberries and some almond slivers, or mashed banana and toasted walnuts.
Mix it all up, seal the jar, and put it in the fridge!Last edited by g_ho on 00:23:23 - 30/09/21 (3 years ago) -

For breakfast, I'd probably want to be greedy and have a good glass of orange juice, and a pot of tea.

I live within 15 minutes walking distance to work. On a work day i also drink a can of cherry coke on the way to work.
I dont usually eat before 10 am. But i make up for it after that, i have big lunches and eat a lot at home in the evenings after work.Forum signatures make my eyes hurt so i have turned them off.

You should put some green bell pepper, yellow onion, mushroom and Swiss in it next time. As for my favorite breakfast food, yeasted waffles probably win. This recipe is what I use, but would recommend putting in cheddar and cooked bacon before cooking in your waffle iron. It looks like an American style omelette, however French omelettes are better so I would you suggest you make that next time, unless you sufficiently fill your American omelette.Last edited by famin on 18:44:58 - 17/11/21 (3 years ago)
