I don't think I've heard of lilies or tulips other then a garnish or a decoration piece. But! I have a neighbor that does all these like fringe diets and she sometimes goes out to pick dandelions as she eats the little white seeds you blow off to make a wish.

If you're planning on eating flowers, you should plant them yourself or pick them wild. Don't use flowers purchased from a flower shop as they are grown for decoration, not food and may be covered in toxic pesticides. Only eat purchased flowers if they are marked for eating or if you can talk to the gardener to assure they haven't been sprayed with harmful chemicals. Also some flowers are poisonous to us so make sure you know what you're doing.
I've had rose jam and hibiscus tea (not together). I actually tried to eat random hibicus petals for no reason when I was a kid but they didn't have much flavour, just a perfume effect in the mouth. I've had violet flavoured candy and sugared violets, one of my most favourite flowers. I heard some forget-me-nots were edible but I have no idea where to find it. I'd love to try a jam.Yes, I'm mental.
No, it's okay.

As mentioned above grow your own if for food use but always wash and dry them before prepping. Dandelion is great in many dishes, you can candy petals for desserts and "snobby" treats. Steep the flowers in boiling water you will use in different recipies like steeping lavendar in boiling water before adding the concentration to a cheesecake. Quite yummy!
My brother makes dandelion wine and jellies from a patch of wild dandelions he has cultivated. -

Posted on 19:29:14 - 21/09/21 (3 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkThere are a lot of flowers you can eat, don't really know the English names but it's much more than you think, I'm sure you have locally growing some edible flowers. Maybe try to find some book or app to find out what you can eat. You have to be a bit careful with cultivated flowers though because it can be hard to know from which flowers they are created unless they are specially cultivated for food. You can use for instance hibiscus leaves in a salad, I do that from time to time, and it's a beautiful plant for your garden/balcony.
Edit; Here is a good list, it's from the USA but you can find lots of these in other continents too:

That's why when you pour a bunch of beer into your ass, you get far drunker than you normally would. Though, this can also lead to alcohol poisoning so...
