    I really like Jamaican stew peas with rice but without the meat.

    I wouldn't say it's my favorite, as there are many BUT I will never say no to saltfish souse/saltfish buljol or salted herring prepared the same way. Typically, I'll have it with lettuce (anything but iceberg) or mixed greens, sliced cucumber and some hearty bread or crackers.  

    I will never buy this from a restaurant though, absolutely cannot stand the dry, flavorless, flaked no nothing bits of fish they provide and there is never enough scotch bonnet for me.

    I've never had saltfish souse. But i love love cow heel souse and to lesser extent chicken foot souse. But salt fish and bake is the best.
    And i totally agree with you on the last part about the restaurant!

    I love boiled fish and green bananas. Had it today and I aleays request it whenever I return home from staying abroad for a long time.

    I also love jerk chicken, goat water and VI peas soup.
