    Hi guys,

my girlfriend and I watched game changers on Netflix and decided to become vegetarian this year and onwards.

So far we have both really enjoyed cooking new meals and are starting to enjoy the health benefits offered by this plant based diet.

I was wondering if others on torn had made a similar change to their diet and if so, how they were enjoying it and if they had any good recipes for some great vegetarian food!

I look forward to hearing from you and your thoughts on this

    Tommy

    Can't do without bacon...

    Or beef...

    Or chicken...

    Sorry...

I will never lie to you. What I say is how I feel...

    Hi Tommy,

I hope you enjoyed veganuary, and congrats for completing it!

Depends where you're from I guess but now is a great time to change - there's so much more stuff available now which makes it easy peasy here in the UK. I've been vegan for nearly 2 years and it really really works for me. I lost a few stone and am now at a weight I'm really happy with, food is generally cheaper and healthier, I feel less guilty about my eating habits - it's bloody great :)

If you're looking for recipes etc I would highly recommend BOSH @bosh.tv on insta, fb.com/bosh.tv and all the other social media places. Their buffalo cauliflower wings are a massive favorite of mine as a treat. Their cookbooks are excellent also.

If you're travelling around or eating out I use a site called Happy Cow https://www.happycow.net/ which shows you nearby restaurants that are either vegan, vegetarian, or have vegan/vegetarian options - it's super useful when you're on the road.

    Happy cooking and happy eating!

Good luck with your new lifestyle. Please don't turn into one of those evangelizing vegans. Nobody likes those...

Everyone is a murderer.... you just have to meet the right person.
