I eat it with the skin on..
Aint nobody got time to peel a kiwi fruit. And even if i peel it, it will go mushy in my attempt to peel it.
But i stay far away from that hard part on top

Yeah I ate the kiwis, the apples, the mangos with the skin on. I peel my grapes though.

I have been eating kiwis with skin on for years!  It started out of laziness, but honestly the fruit flesh touching the skin tends to be more tart (which I like) and the fur feels like it’s cleaning your throat as you swallow.

Remember to wash them either way, a lot of fruit is dirty af after transportation. Recently read that someone got really sick from avocado, apparently the little that slides in with the knife is enough.

And yes, it is a thing. Personally I only eat the skin and the hard bit.

I shave my kiwifruit and then eat it with skin... Don't like hair
