Just looking for your go-to board game. I've recently bought and played Root, Oceans, and Tapestry, and am hoping to find ideas for my next acquisition. -

My wife and I have an unhealthy obsession with board games.
Carcassonne is my favorite despite me liking complex games, Five Minute Dungeon is hers. -

My personal recommendations as a board game nerd:
Azul-Fun drafting tiles game which is good for beginners
Scythe-Engine game with funny jokes
Forbidden Island/Desert- co-ops where you manage a slowly disintegrating world while trying to get certain artifacts. They are the only good gamewright games, including the third one.
7 wonders- cool card drafting game
Everything by rio grande- all of their games slap, especially dominion and power grid
Ticket to ride- Classic drafting and route planning game
Axis and Alies- Not for the faint hearted, a 4+ hour combat slog. 3d edition is best, 1st is slightly worse. I would not recommend buying the 2d. -

Ouija
The game you start single player. And ends up a LFG for some demon buds. -

Betrayal at the House on the Hill is one of those games that constantly keep you at the edge of your seat. All about strategy!

My favourite board game at the moment has got to be Wingspan. It's simple and chill and the artwork is beautiful.

We used to have additional rules, multiple hotels was one. Lego helped show that a street could have 10 hotels, so you paid 10 times as much...
Games could last days...I will never lie to you. What I say is how I feel...
