During covid my friend and I started renting fun cars on turo and making videos about our experiences.

Our first rental was a modified 2018 Honda Civic type R and it was a monster. So quick, so aggressive, and so nimble in the corner.

Here’s what we thought of it:

It’s definitely one of the top ten cars I’ve ever driven. What are your thoughts?

(yes this is a little shameless self promotion for a new channel I’m trying to start, but I am genuinely interested in what you all like to drive!)

Type R is a fantastic vehicle. I also drove a 2018 but not modified. These vehicles are incredible!

I will say, the 2015 BMW M4 Is a better driving experience! More power, more technology, 2 very different experiences. I personally think the Type R is much more RAW as the M4 has the tech to go with it.

I’ll have to keep an eye open for one on turo. Probably not the right time of year to rent one though with this snow and rain, but come spring I’ll be on the hunt!

Ive owned 27+ vehicles, many different cars in regards to best drive depending on what mood im in haha.
My personal favourite drive for sport fun was my mates honda s2000. Sounded great, handled well.
For comfort, fun and practicality, i had a manual bmw e46 330d, straight piped remapped upto 240-250bhp Loved that car. Current car im driving is a passat b6 dsg diesel estate/wagon. Practical, comfy and plenty of space. Can have a little fun but not as fun as the other cars ive owned.

Tbh the 2022 Corvette stingray was freakin' awesome. Test drove it and despite me being a loyal Texas truck guy, I wanted it so badly lol.

Chevy seems to have done a great job on the corvette of late. I see them all the time in the city and they look as good as Ferraris do imho

so expensive to rent on turo tho, so I haven’t had a chance to go for a rip in one

I think the 2020 supra is likely the most fun car I’ve driven. A lot of nostalgia for the mark 4, a long time waiting for it to be released, plus I drove it on my birthday and it did not disappoint!

My '89 AW11 for sure. They're dog shit slow but incredibly entertaining to drive. Like being a lil mid engine rwd space ship.

Me and my buddy rented the cheapest Porsche we could find on Turo. Paid $100 for a Panamera for the day.

It’s an amazing car, just wholly unnecessary for Ontario ? I’d love to drive it in Germany on the unlimited autobahn

It was fun whip. My Mercedes E320 wagon from 2003. Costed me 1000$ and I paid for it with McDonald's money and did donuts in the parking lot. It was okay. Once I worn the tire rod ends a bit from doing that i sold it to my manager for 800$ and left McDonald's

Oh the kangoo is a world of fun compared to its peers. I once drove a fist doblo from Bristol to the french alps. That was terrifying, painful, and exhausting in equal measure.

    Never again…

    Sounds like a good time!
    What did you get afterwards?

The only Mercedes wagon I ever owned was a 1998 e300td. It had the most extreme turbo lag I’ve ever experienced, close to 20 seconds in some cases (it felt like a year). Almost got me killed on the highway as I had to accelerate away from a speeding semi behind me, it was a close call
