Any real life racers here?

I was super close to auto-x in Cali with my Sky, but working 3/3 12hr shifts meant my schedule never lined up with weekend events :/
There is a a track/dragstrip up here and an Auto-X club or two, so who knows...

Never been able to hit a closed track... just never seemed to be able to carve out the time while working shiftwork in the Air Force. Sadly, it's only gotten worse since I retired. xD
It would have been soooo awesome to hit a track day at Sonoma (which was
Now...? I can't even drive my Sky (there's a pic of Guen' in my photos) because it would drive me absolutely bonkers in my traffic riddled commute. -

And if it was on the street, did that have anything to do with no more vehicle access? I know some states (Cali) have had to take a really hard line on street racers. To the point where there are some pretty ridiculous rules on the books regarding after market parts and modifications. [:tired:] -
