In 2 years my current drive will be considered a classic lmfao!

And even today my beast is comparable to modern 4x4s often having to pull them out of mud and bogs.
DISCO POWER!!!

Sweet. I see in one of your pictures that you have the top end of the engine removed. What's your carb/intake/cam/head setup?
Will the second-gen Dodge Rams ever be considered a "classic?" I think that I've got one of, or maybe the cleanest one around my area and later this summer, I'm gonna start grinding and sanding the rust away and then undercoating the underside. A partial restoration if you will.Last edited by Yeret on 01:44:02 - 15/04/17Roses are red, violets are blue, when I listen to Metallica, the neighbors do too!

It has a 454 engine out of an old truck. The carb is a Holley 770 Street avenger. As for the cam, I don't remember. It also has some ceramic coated headers, and a flowmaster super 44 exhaust. Outside of that, I don't remember much Cuz it's been while. I'd like to drop a 5.3 with fuel injection and twin turbo it, but it'll be awhile before I can. Since I've gotten the car, I've bought a house, got married, and now have an 8 month old daughter, so money to blow on parts is more limited. Lol
Got pictures of your dodge? -

OMG, 454 power? ****ing sweet! Spend a few grand on Edelbrock aluminum heads, a Performer RPM and a mid-end cam and you'll pull 450+ horsepower easy. Plenty to whoop up on any ricer, LOL.
Digging around, I do have some old pics of the Ram. Here's a few...
As a kid who watched Twister many years ago, the second-gen Dodge Ram has been my dream truck. So when my grandpa gifted me this years back, I never have and never will let go. It's been a rough ride but I'm slowly bringing the old girl back to her former glory along with a few goodies along the way. The engine has been re-ringed and last year I got a sweet SCT tune. She ain't no supercar by any means but she's much stronger than when I first got her.
I've been slaving at an okay place for a while and I'm finally coming up with thef unds to set up a real shop. By the end of this summer, I'm looking to clean up/undercoat the frame and do some rust-busting/re-painting the body. I'd like to give her a fresh coat but Emerald Green Pearl Metallic is expensive as s***. Touch-up stuff for now. Next year, maybe a full-on respray.
As far as mods go, I've got the SCT tune, some exhaust work and a ported throttle body. I'm looking to get some Harland Sharp 1.7 roller rockers and some ceramic coated shorty headers and 4:10 gears front and back with a limited-slip in the rear. Afterwards, pops and I want to build up a big-block powered Cobra replica (here's looking at you, Kek).
So much awesome car-stuff to do, so little money. I need to win a ****ing lottery or something, LOL.
EDIT: Also, swapped the vacuum-actuated 4x4 setup with a mechanical cable Posi-Lok. Works awesome but I do need to get new hubs. Old 4x4 trucks always need something replaced, LOL.Last edited by Yeret on 00:47:43 - 24/04/17Roses are red, violets are blue, when I listen to Metallica, the neighbors do too!

I'd suggest long tube headers over shorties. They flow better. Also, just a recommendation, but I'd go with stainless steel headers. I got ceramic headers on my chevelle and they started to rust.
I also have a 2005 Pontiac GTO with a 6.0 liter LS2. I have long tube stainless works headers (highly recommend), K&N CAI, Borla exhaust, and after market springs and shocks. After hearing Borla, I think I won't use anything else. -

I don't own one anymore. But I have owned a few in the past.
72 Dodge Challenger 340 4 speed, bored out .060 over with a mild cam, stock 69 Dodge Charger 440 Windsor automatic that was a track car at the now defunct Fremont Speedway and a couple other Mopars. Those 2 were my favorites.
edit: I got to drive a friends GTX that had a 440 six pac. ****ing awesome.Last edited by AwakeNoWokeFail on 04:28:54 - 05/06/17I'm Sorry

In my 54 yo opinion, nothing is a classic unless its born before 1973.
