I guess this topic is science, right? Anyways, I had this house fly annoying me. It really wanted to be on this piece of paper on the table next to me as it kept coming back more aggressively every time I waved it away. So I caught it in my hand and held it for a few minutes before letting it go and haven’t seen it since. Nah I prefer to pull off their wings as a warm up and to make sure they can’t get away easily then I get out my magnifying glass and tweezers to pull off each of its legs while screaming “BZZZZ BZZZ MOTHERf**kER HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW!?!!!?!!?” Then while it’s still got a little play left I give it to my cat to smack around a bit before eating it

You can also blind a fly with cat’s laser toy or a laser pointer. Then it will just stay in place until it starves to death.

since i read this I'm paying more attention to what the flies do and while I can't confirm or deny the theory, I'm pretty sure they understand they better leave me alone when i start swinging my hands in the air like I'm crazy.

I must be doing something wrong. I tried to go for a walk in the woods the other day and killed 37 horseflies but they kept coming. Also on an unrelated note 17 ticks
