Hi, I research about lasers and LEDs. Anything interests you about these devices?

    how does led works
It's basically a diode which emits light when you apply voltage across it. Thanks, Latenight!

Any suggestions for a femtosecond laser that can ionize sinapinic acid, and would you suggest a fiber optic system to route the beam?

Nah. Fiber optics is too problematic when you deal with femtosecond pulses. I'd recommend direct blow. Also, why do you want top ionize Sinapinic acid? What is so special about it?

I do not know about that acid, but a femtosecond laser, can ionize pretty much any solid, given enough laser power density.

I agree. Besides, ionizing something with femtosecond pulses would probably break the fiber optic, instead of transferring light throug it.
