Do you guys have nothing better to do than just watch Rick and Morty, get baked, and then comment on obscure "Science" subforums?
What, you think we have lives to be getting on with or something...? Don't be so ridiculous :p

I mean, you  did make claims about physics and the like []

And to make a claim in physics usually requires evidence. But okey dokey lokey. I'll leave it at that.
find a "claim" , that wasn't expressed as a possibility and i will rectify it... this was a discussion not a seminar, wasn't aware my credentials would come into question.... I am not your teacher.... find your own proof.... or at least form a valid response/counter idea.... where is your point?

"Dmt is released naturally. It plays an integral part in dream, imagination and visualizations.
It is a drug, it is naturally released/used by the brain and it is an integral tool for many theoretical physicists :) "
That's a definitive statement isn't it? []  "It is" rather than "It could be"

So, I've been asked for evidence to back up said statement because as the burden of proof would lie on you if this was a debate. However you don't feel the need to correct?

There we go, my point. That was the statement I've been discussing and I hope that clears things up here. If you're not willing to engage in evidence based discussion then I'm not sure the science subforum is really the place to go [:hushed:]

As for this: " this was a discussion not a seminar, wasn't aware my credentials would come into question.... I am not your teacher.... find your own proof.... or at least form a valid response/counter idea..."

I don't think  I really need to respond to it do I?

I am no expert in celestial mechanics but it seems to me that if everything was rushing towards a black hole we would see all bodies moving toward a single point that could be easily quantified.  As far as being in a electronic reality if this is the best the computer can come up with for me then you really suck.  Thank you and have a lovely day!

Yeah, I have no interest in talking with you... you are not trying to discuss rationally. It is impossible to provide the evidence you request. you know this, you are just looking to find more to argue against. Go troll someone else. Bye bye

As far as I'm aware that's how they treat most people forum wise. A mixture of dismission and condescension.

In the meantime I'll consider making a response to it tomorrow once I wake.

    Alien [2052982]

We live inside a blackhole, and are racing towards the singularity. We are moving at an exhilarated rate which gives the illusion everything is moving away from us at a faster and faster rate. In fact the entire universe is collapsing. It's okay though because we are also just a computer simulation, and live in the matrix.

After binge watching youtube docs this is my conclusion.

    Dire [2091491]

Pretty damn close imo. But i wouldn't be so sure on the collapsing part.

Everything here is oscillating, On average there is zero movement, But it gives the illusion of perpetual expansion and contraction :)

It is my belief that the universe is doing very similar trickery. And that even time is a static singular existence.

So we don't move with it, We surf a wave of propagation on an oscillating, yet static medium.

Gravity leaves black holes fast enough to 'capture' light.

Things can't move faster than light. But wave propagation isn't real movement

    Pinkie [1886343]

How would that explain red-shifting and stuff that usually is pointed towards as evidence for expansion? []

    Dire [2091491]

There would have to be an extra spatial dimension. Which would give the "movement" properties that "confirm" it as movement to most.

It is my belief that they would just exist as another more convincing layer of illusion....

For example, No other moment than now has ever been experienced. The past and future do not exist in the same way the present does. The past only exists in recorded information and the future only exists within a field of information containing multiple possibilities.

If only a single static moment is all that can ever exist then "movement" is an instantaneous jumping from static state to static state.. Like a videos frame rate. We perceive movement as fluid on a video, We perceive movement as fluid in reality...... Red-shifting appears fluid,... but i believe it is successive static information and therefore doesn't prove what it appears to prove. In the same way videos don't prove something is moving as the video is only made up of static images..... but to many they will say it proves movement :p

movement is indeed not fluid. in fact that is the basic rule of quantum physics, which psychist have agreed century ago. and yes we do "jump", how long we jump is easy to be calculated. you just need to know the value of the natural units, which are still under debate among the psychists.

Fine, Pinkie, I'll bite, just this once, to show this one the way. Or maybe just for giggles.

My example to this is probably one of the most famous of modern scientific theories, and arguably one of the most eccentric moderm scientists, who came up with it. So, how did Einstein manage to quantify a definitive relation between matter and energy?

He daydreamed about riding on a photon, of course. Its funny, in retrospect, to imagine Albert Einstein riding a tiny particle of light, especially with his cowboy hat and boots on, holding on to the reins with a light grip. Come to think of it, cowboy boots might have been a good look for Einstein. He had a problem with things like tying his shoes regularly. Everyone in the Patent Office made fun of him.

In this way, the link between DMT, dreaming, using the imagination, and theoretical physics is demonstrated by prima facie example. Because, you know, it has to be so good an argument as not to need any outside proof or evidence because its evident by fact and logical reasoning.

Because, you know, my scientific credentials are legit af!

Then my argument is better than I thought, because I'm only about 5% convinced myself!
