It creates unnecessary conflict and ego-boosting. I look at it more as most people are the same intelligence and not much different from each other intellectually, is that not better than talking down to half the population of the world?

There is an average. Half of everyone has less measurable intelligence than the other half.... Its not a difficult concept, I believe it is arrogant to to try and argue against it to be honest. To say you know better than anyone who can do math....

It is my opinion that the likelihood that we live in a simulated reality as opposed to the original reality is quite high. In a very very small window of time, we have already produced virtual realities.... at some point they will become detailed enough that they will be indistinguishable from this reality.... Therefore serving as proof that realities such as this could be fabricated....
We would then live inside a system where categorically... There can be countless simulated realities and only one original. Why would we assume we are special enough to be in the first original one, when the numbers are 1 original to >9999999999999999999 simulated.....
That's not odds i would gamble on..... -

Posted on 12:44:28 - 11/09/18 (6 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkUrm.... No sorry. I don't like to do the bidding of probable trolls or silly peoples. I try to say things to them that make sense, But equally things that they don't like to hear. I certainly won't repeat myself to them, unless it is what they don't want me to say :)
And it is my assumption, that you are either troll or silly. I wish musk was here to have a convo. He seems like the sort to manage intellectual debate without resorting to schoolyard quips and pointless defensive tangents X -

The necessary degrees of cooperation and coordination (not to mention surveillance and control) would be far more intricate and incredible than space exploration. The real problem with conspiracy theorists is that too much contact with them creates an unfortunate association between skepticism and poor mental health. In derisively rejecting the formulae of popa et al, we risk turning our backs on a core of truth that helps to explain their gullibility: there are rich people who use their power to manipulate the world. Not by faking space exploration, or by concealing key geographical facts about the planet we all live on (rofl) but by owning and exercising more wealth and power than is compatible with any conception of participatory government. Is space exploration faked? No. Is it a diversion from more pressing matters? Possibly. Is it actually a quest for exploitable resources beyond the earth? Definitely. Will we all share in the wealth? Three guesses.

I agree with nearly everything mentioned bar two points.
1) "Conspiracy theorists" can be brilliant people, There are conspiracies and we do need people to research, I think there should be a clearer distinction between "conspiracy theorists" and "Nutjobs"
2) I personally believe it is very likely that their are doctored photos and a lot of untruth around certain details regarding space travel.... And so i choose to remain skeptical when it comes to certain aspects of it.... That said.... I'm pretty sure the things poopdapie swears to be faked are likely not.... And i think Elon is a real person as opposed to fake....
My guesses... No, no and no :)
What do you think will come first, Asteroid/planet mining on a commercial scale, Or Artificially created overlord 'species'? -

Posted on 13:57:09 - 11/09/18 (6 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkBoth are in the works...but I think we'll see heavily automated extra-terrestrial mining first.
I differentiate between investigative journalists and conspiracy theorists, although there is overlap. To me, conspiracy theorists are caught in a structurally formulated "fill-in-the-blank"-style echo chamber, whereas investigative journalists tend to follow the money. As for doctored photos - why not? For a start, most of the photos we see from space are heavily processed, and I wouldn't put it past the likes of E. Musk to put a little lipstick on the pig now and then. -

Posted on 14:27:03 - 11/09/18 (6 years ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkhahaha,
Well put. I consider myself a conspiracy theorist. But i try to only ever work by speculation, grounded logic and reliable sources. For example. I accept that there remains the possibility (however small) that we live on a flat earth. That their is a convoluted structure of lies and insane illusion that makes us believe it is a sphere..... But i believe it is far far far more likely that is is a planet in the more widely accepted sense.
Another few examples... I know there is a lot of chinese whispers around the topics. But i believe strongly, that their is truth behind these things.... Montauk project, Philadelphia experiment, Elites orchestrating false flag events, ET cover-ups (particularly recorded history), Simulation Hypothesis.... Conscious enlightenment.... Nirvana.... Paradoxical experiences.... and the list goes on.... Conspiracy theory level stuff, But i think we have enough 'evidence' to at least say that some of these things should be considered as possible :p
I try not to discuss the matters based on my own experiences... but damn... i would sound like a fruitcake if i used my experiences to express my beliefs as truth.... lol.... crazy stuff....
