Hey, readers of Torn. My name is RobberHood and I've been writing, hence the apt banner above.I write personalized stories for people's profile sigs and I've been really enjoying it.I love seeing my work up on people's profiles but it's kind of a bother to have to hunt them down on people's profiles so I made a place to keep them all together.I will put a new one up each week so subscribe if you don't want to miss any. This is also totally a self-promoting advert so please check out my trade forum post if you'd like to commission a story for yourself or a friend. Midori_Souen: The Dark Return of Justice Rises
There is a certain kind of person who is lucky enough to remain in a state of perpetual childhood. They never grow any taller or uglier and they never stop laughing at grown-ups who do ridiculous things like eating their food before they’ve had any time to play with it. These perma-kids manage to survive on a diet of lollipops and Red Cow and live moment to moment. The Japanese call these people “Gifts from mother nature,” whilst most Tornians refer to them as “a crapload of bloody trouble”. Midori_Souen is one such being. Whilst Peter Pan was famous for being the leader of The Lost Boys, Midori_Souen was elected leader of The Un-Found Living Beings of Any Sex, Gender, or Species Without Any Sort of Discrimination Whatsoever Unless You’re A Poop-Faced Meanie. Due to the time-consuming nature of the name, they are colloquially referred to as Sell Swords.
Sell Swords mostly hang out in a tree-house, though it is neither in a tree nor house-shaped. Their haunt is actually a disused public toilet. Since most Tornians simply urinate in their boots, it is actually one of the cleanest and least abused buildings in the city. Midori_Souen and her friends once spent a whole afternoon drawing on the walls and “borrowing” clothes for their dress-up box and filling the “water-fridges” with cans of their favorite energy drinks. Quite soon it didn’t look like a toilet at all but a wonderful den of imagination and fun. I guess you might say it looked like a tree-house.
Midori_Souen’s favorite game is “Heroes vs Villains”. She puts on her yellow mask, a cape she made out of jackets she found in the dump, and ties 12 cans of lukewarm Red Cow to her utility belt. Midori_Souen had always wanted to be a villain, but every time she tried to “Mwa ha ha!” it sounded like fairies singing Christmas songs and whenever she accidentally hurt one of her friends during their games she would shower them with love hearts and cuddles and say sorry until her throat became sore. It was actually quite sickening to witness such niceness in a heart-melty rainbow-sunshiney kind of way.
She and her friends would scatter all over the city to play and the city had little choice but to partake in their games. Midori_Souen, an ice tank, would wantonly throw snowballs made from vanilla ice cream across the streets at her friend, Ruka_Souen, screaming “DCUO #1 tank PVP Villains side!” Unwitting passers-by would frequently be splatted by the half-melted ice cream. Fire-type Ruka_Souen laughed maniacally and screamed back, “I am the true villain, mwahaha!” whilst lobbing Molotov Cocktails across the road. The passers-by all agreed that Molotov Cocktails were far more villainous than ice cream and even said as much, before slipping into the nearest strip-club until the game had moved on to another part of the city.
"Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer, but your best friends who pretend to be your enemies closest of all” was Midori_Souen’s motto, and so it was that sometimes the best frienemies would team up to battle other dark forces.
“Do you hear that?” Midori_Souen whispered suddenly, as her gang were wandering through the park at sunset. “Look up there! That poor Kitten Plushie is stuck in a tree!” The Sell Swords quickly made a human pyramid and in no time Midori_Souen held the dirty, discarded stuffed animal safely in her arms and was getting ready to clamber down when all around there was a mad cackling.
“Looky here, some little kids got lost in the park after dark…” A shadowy figure stepped out of the shadows, a circle of dark figures surrounded them.
“Please, sir…” Midori_Souen mumbled in a voice so soft and angelic it could bring a switchblade to tears, “Please don’t do something you’ll regret…”
“Why you little...” The shadowy man took out a kitchen knife and signaled to his gang, who took out an array of baseball bats, hammers, screwdrivers, and lead pipes. The leader lunged at Midori_Souen and stabbed powerfully at her chest. She was unarmored and her friends looked away in terror as the silver blade flashed through the evening air. A scream. A terrifying laugh like a hyena on Halloween.
“F***ing noob,” Midori_Souen spat as the leader recoiled in horror, his blade bent. Midori_Souen checked her costume. There was a slight rip on the bright yellow S of her costume over her heart, no blood. Midori_Souen took a deep breath and unclipped a can of Red Cow from her belt. She drank it in seven long, loud gulps. She wiped her mouth with her sleeve and looked at the enemy leader in disgust. “I friggin’ HATE sewing. Get ‘em gang!”
At once, the Sell Swords attacked. POW! Trousers were pulled down to ankles. WHAM! Shoelaces were tied together. SPLAT! Ice cream was thrown. The battle lasted less than a minute. The enemy leader and his gang were left in a heap, groaning and in tears. Midori_Souen put the Kitten Plushie she had rescued into the leader’s shirt pocket. “Look after them, Kittie,” she whispered, and without looking back, skipped off home to watch Batman reruns and eat lollipops.
