    Today’s code is 47 - 12 - 51

    47+51=98 * 1.25= 122.5

    but 51 is L + 4 from 47

Still works under the rules, but I guess it is possible that right sides could be L + 0 to L + 5 at any numbers.

    Anyway thanks for the guide

FYI I made a script that runs all the combinations in the original table

    https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/519314-torn-safecracker

It didn't find my combination (mine started with 39) So I think it requires some adjustment for it to be useful to everyone. I don't  have a safe anymore so I can't test it any further - but I'm releasing in the hope it helps someone until I go back to refine it.

I assume u have checked this is legal and know better than me, but just to check, this is legal right?

It uses the same technique as the 'gimme beers' script, or the quick items script, or the one click race script (https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=67&t=16419496&b=0&a=0) or a bunch of other features that torntools and tornpda provides. It's one click per action, so it takes over 400 clicks to get through all the combinations. I don't have a good technique for reporting success yet as I opened my safe before coding that in. It *should* disable the button once the safe is opened, but that's untested

    Holy cow, this is excellent!

It seems that with the last few codes that have been provided, L probably has an equal chance of being anything and lower values are not more common.

There is still a trend of the gap between L and R being greater the higher that L is.

    L R-L
    10 0
    11 1
    15 1
    16 2
    17 1
    18 2
    19 1
    19 2
    20 2
    24 2
    28 3
    31 2
    31 2
    32 2
    32 2
    32 3
    32 3
    34 2
    35 3
    37 3
    41 3
    43 3
    45 3
    47 4
    55 5
    63 5

I should be able to generate a larger table for other combinations with L going to 70 maybe so that you can update your script.
I'll let you know once I have done it.

I've completed a list of all the likely combinations for codes where L goes up to 70 (the highest we've seen so far is 63).
The total is now 790 combinations.

This also covers every code that has been submitted so far and should have a very good success rate for future attempts.

Here is the link to the codes on pastebin: https://pastebin.com/3ZHfyD2E

When we get to the point where the middle number of every code begins to loop around and become small, it actually starts to create fewer possible combinations.

Looks like I would have gotten it eventually brute forcing it, but honestly couldn't be bothered after I got to 200 attempts.

    Hello,

I didn't update the table in my original post since there are too many combinations now, but after rDacted's script was created we've put all the extra possible codes in that.

You can see the full list of combinations in the source code of the script if you want.

I'll update my post to mention this.

Your code 46 - 11 - 49 appears in the list too. So far the script still contains 100% of the codes that have been submitted so far.

Just had this mission again today and I got a totally normal combo:

    13 34 14

So it seems unlikely that there’s a correlation between high account age and a “weirder” combination. I’m wildly curious why these codes aren’t just pure RNG in the first place…

Thank you! This code is also on the list.

Yeah, it seems like there is probably no correlation that determines what code you get. Maybe just some random combination within its possible pool.

I've wondered about the code generation too, since pure RNG with each number being anything from 1 to 99 would probably be easier for them to generate and would make it a waste of time trying to crack manually.

I can't really complain because now we can crack it.

This time it is 98 - 25 - 10, pretty sure left side could be any number.

Thanks for this. It does look like the left number can be anything.
For this combination the same formula can be used to generate it, however both the middle and right numbers get shortened.

    Left = 98
Right = 102 (assuming R is only L+4 but it's most likely higher and we can't know what it is. Anything from L+4 to L+11 will work here to generate the same middle number, 25)
    Middle = 250 (using [98+102]*1.250)

I'll keep tracking these. In future I may be able to update the script with combinations where the left number is greater than 70.

I got the chance to try out rDacted's script myself today when this mission came up again.
It works well enough and saves a lot of time.

You can crack the code by repeatedly clicking the "brute force" button to cycle through and enter each combination, however it doesn't seem to provide feedback when the code is successfully cracked. You will need to check your logs periodically.

Alternatively you can click "brute force", "open safe", "brute force", "open safe" repeatedly and this will let you know when the safe is open, which is what I did below.

This is what I saw after clicking "brute force" with the successful combination (the failure message is from the previous "open safe" click, and didn't update with the brute force press):
    79a88bf3-19bc-4d7e-a001-5bcd2df4d4ed-2752977.png

But when I clicked on Open Safe again, this appeared:
    82184dfd-b564-47da-9533-532085eaa18e-2752977.png

The log shows what item is pulled from the safe:

    c08ada22-7454-4809-85d3-859a96523c84-2752977.png

You can send the item to Duke and complete the mission as usual:

    How long did it take?

I was doing less than 1 per second because I was screenshotting each time to get the first image for my post.

My 210 attempts took me about 4 minutes, so at that pace all 790 combinations would have been 15 minutes max, but you can probably go much faster than that.
