Yes, doing missions is definetely worth your time. Doing missions will give you a currency called "mission credits", with these you can buy items which are ONLY available through this system ( or subscribing in case of books. )

What better place to ask about Torn than the heart of the website.
Going to the gym, doing crimes and doing missions is a daily thing for me, but up to this point i still don't know if doing the missions is worth my time.
Any thoughts?
(I could be completely wrong, and if i am in what i say, i'm open to constructive criticism) -
