I wasn't sure if this should be in missions or bugs & issues,either way, I'm still stuck on Safari mission even though I've flown two times now to South Africa & defeated my target with specified weapon both times (after stale mating both times & re-attacking)but each time I came back it still hasn't confirmed that I beat him. I have both attack logs if needed. Thanks

If you used the specified weapon and did not use anything extra (such as an item in the temp weapons slot) then you should open a thread in bugs and issues.

It may get picked up by a staff member in this thread but it may not.

Both times you used your swords - to complete this mission you should use the rifle only.

I used my rifle only and I got the mission the first time I tried

thanks aurel1.

I was having the same problem. Tried it twice. I would use my swords to bring the health down and finish him off with my rifle. But that didn't work.

I will go back and try the rifle only.

Guess that explains why I failed.

I feel like the wording should be revised. I thought that "Travel to South Africa and defeat XXXX using a rifle." was deliberately worded differently to Hammer Time's "Defeat XXXX using only a hammer."

Are you also not permitted to use temp items?

EDIT: and do all missions that say using a weapon mean using only that weapon?

If it says a specific weapon type, you must only use that weapon type. No temporary items/kicks/fists, etc.

"Using only a hammer" is one weapon specifically.
"Using a rifle" is any weapon from a specific weapon type.

If it says something like use a rifle to make the final hit on XXXX, then you can use any weapons/items in that fight, as long as the kill hit is with a rifle.

Is using a flash/smoke grenade (non-damage) temporary item allowed?

If you use something that boosts yourself or doesn't damage the other person, it won't fail the mission.

I've done both without any issues.

You did accept the mission before heading to South Africa right? Sometimes people forget and then it leads to issues when they get there.
