Mr Tough guy huh? I'm impressed. I wouldn't wanna meet you down a dark alley. Or a well-lit one you ugly S.O.B! Anywho, keep beating on people like that and you'll get me a rep, and that's exactly what I want. I'll be in touch.

    • Attack XXX

    • $1,500 received

    Battering Ram Easy
Now that was the dumbest thing I ever saw in my whole life, great job! You saw more beating than my high-school gym socks, but you kept on going! That's what I want from an employee, loyalty. You smashed through that punk so hard I'm gonna call you 'The Battering Ram' from now on. Although only in private, because otherwise that might sound kinda fruity.

    • Attack XXX three times (3 / 3)
    • $2,500 received

New Kid on the Block Easy
Holy moly someone's eaten a whole bunch of knuckle sandwiches! Some people just don't lie down when you hit them, which seems unfair to me. Anyhow, you done okay. Rest up a little--put some ice on that fat lip. When I got more people what need someone to put a hit on them, we'll be talking.

    • 4 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased
    Stomach Upset Easy
Three things in life make me feel sick: rollercoasters, happy endings to movies, and when someone owes me a crazy scary amount of money. There's this one clown who is inside me for like, a bazillion bucks. I sometimes add up what he owes me and write it down, and then I get out the barf bag.

I need you to get this clown's attention so he pays me back some of what he owes. When you attack them go straight for the belly. Do enough damage to make him feel sick to his stomach for a bit. See how he likes it.

    • Injure XXX stomach
      • $3,500 received12 Mission credits receivedAgent standing increase
    Rolling in it Easy
I trust our friend the aristo-cat had deep pockets? I look forward to hearing from him.

    • Mug XXX
    • 4 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased
    Undercutters Easy
XXX and his two cronies are trying to put me out of business! Those sneaky rat-faced...oooh man are they gonna get it. They thought it was a good idea to set up another loan business and undercut what I charge. I barely scrape by, you know. And when you get a loan from me you know its good quality. I even got my cash laundered at the laundromat cause I heard its smart to do that. Some of it got messed up but most of it smells great now. See, thats the trouble I go to for my clients, would these jerks do that? No. There's no room in this town for rinky-dink lenders. Just me. Run those clowns out of town for me kid.

    Estranged

You mind helping me with a bit of a personal problem? Don't worry it's nothing to do with my junk this time. See, there's this guy I hang with, used to be a great drinking buddy. An absolute riot.. But the last few months, he's a drip. He wails and whines about his wife, just cause she ran off with some guy that was better in a sack or something. What does that mean, anyway?

Look I'm not going to drone on at you with the details--it bores me just to think of it. I just want my happy drinking buddy back, so you gotta play Cupid...kinda, if Cupid was a violent psycho who beat up people's new boyfriends. Go visit this guy what ran off with the wife, and make it so he can't walk so good, cos I hear he's always getting his leg over or something. Putting Casanova in a wheelchair should cheer my pal right up!

    • Injure one of XXX's legs

    Outcome:

Don't talk so loud--I got a bitter headache from a little celebrating I was doing with my pal. He was making up for lost time--got so happy when I told him your news, he just wanted to keep buying me rounds. Now if he just finds a new sweetheart I can listen to happy stories again. You know anybody who's available, pretty hot, and not too picky? Ah who am I kidding, the only time a guy like you gets any hot action is when you accidentally take a whizz with hot sauce on your fingers.

    • Injure one of XXX's legs
    • $3,000 received
    • 6 Mission credits received

Just got an 'easy' mission -- Standard Routine -- defeat this guy with his own private island, who is level 53 with 5000 logins more than me and over double my Torn playtime. I'm restricted to using only my fists or a clubbed weapon.

Another day, another bill not paid. Don't people understand it's my money? Not theirs. It's like some people don't get it until it's drilled into them. Ooh there's a thought. You got a drill? Maybe that's too far. Instead why don't you go give him a little tutorial with a blunt object, will you? Yeah, nice and subtle. No shooting, no stabbing. Just a baseball bat or your fists orsomething. Up close and personal.
    .
The missions says 'defeat' not just 'attack'.
    .

Is there a way to abandon a mission, or is this thing gonna be there forever on my mission list?
    .

Edit: looks like it has a '3 days' hourglass and goes away after that? I'm too wise to even try this fight.

Edit 2: His name is adoyle2709 since people asked me.

I'm guessing the timer on the contract is like the item rotation timers. You have that time period listed on said contract to complete it.

It is too early to know about the amount of standing you gain and lose for finishing contracts or leaving contracts incomplete.

Who is the player - you might still be able to beat them?

Clubbed weapons means nunchukas or perhaps dual hammers / axes so it's not like you don't have any good options to hit them with.

You can also wear them down - if you can't beat them the first time use meds to regain full life and try again.

I like apples doo doo doo...

I'd also recommend giving him a try. He may not be the easiest target, but it should certainly be possible with any number of: vicodin, friend reducing his health, multiple tries and med packs, temporary items. Give it a go!

Also, some missions specify to hospitalise - either that or people are just so used to warring :)

It's fine when the mission specifies it, but this one was to be hit with pepper spray. Now it's hours of waiting and hoping that nobody else will hospitalize him.

Tried a revive? Costs a little but it gets it done quick.

You also need to realise that the objective for some missions *is* to hospitalise the target - someone else might have your target for a different mission (or perhaps they're in a faction at war).

I've tried a revive, yes, and got the "this person does not wish to be revived" message (or something like that).

I didn't know that the same target could be a hosp target for a different mission, thanks for the info!

I think you can hold 3 missions at a time, so if one is too tough, you can still do the mission the following day (or so was my understanding from reading the update post)

    Rabbit Response Easy
Well, there you go: rabbit response. Just like I said. Those muggers will remember who went down tonight and never turn up looking for an easy slide on my pitch again!

    • Within a 30 minute window, defeat XXXX01, XXXX02 and XXXX03

    • $14,000 received
    • 17 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased
    Against the Odds Easy
So apparently the other team were in on it too. Makes ya wonder how many games are rigged like that don't it. I don't know how those guys can even call themselves sportsmen when they're on the take like that. Anyway, thanks for putting a hurt on those clowns for me. They promised to rig a game for me for real to get my money back, and if they don't come up with the goods, maybe we'll put a few of those meathead football players in the hospital too.

    • Defeat XXXX01
    • Defeat XXXX02

    • $5,000 received
    • 9 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased
    Marriage counseling Easy
Lookie here: it's the marriage counsellor. You did good, and XXXX sent me the money he owed, along with a big bottle of booze. I don't even want to think what's going on between him and the spouse, but I'll drink to it.

    • Defeat XXXX's spouse

    • $3,000 received
    • 7 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased

    Sending a Message
    Easy
Torn is full of broke-ass gambling addicts you know. Shameful. A stain on our fair city. Maybe I should start a counselling service--give gamblers a little aversion therapy. You can be the aversion, and when they pay for the treatment, that's my therapy, get it? Heh, heh, heh. Now get outta here.

    • Defeat XXXX

    • $2,500 received
    • 4 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased

    Bounty on the Mutiny
    Easy
I hear my old friend learned her lesson. Don't bite the dog that feeds you. You'd do good to remember that too.

    • Put a bounty on XXXX
    • Wait for the bounty to be fulfilled

    • $367,000 received
    • 12 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased

    Bonnie and Clyde Easy
Okay, they got the picture. No more late night dates with a crowbar for them. Wonder if they got hospital beds next to each other? Kinda sweet when you think about it. I wish I could find a lady who'd commit armed robbery with me someday. Ah well, a guy can dream can't he?

    • Defeat XXXX01
    • Defeat XXXX02

    • $4,000 received
    • 5 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased

    Stomach Upset Easy
I think our friend will be eating soft foods for a few days. Nicely done: I'll let you know if he needs another visit.

    • Injure XXXX's stomach

    • $3,500 received
    • 8 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased

Against The Odds & Marriage Counseling were tough (the mission's title didn't lie.. LOL), I had to use vicodin and grenade to beat them, I realized that I can't beat the first one so I ran away (successfully luckily enuff), so I revisit the targets all out.

Will update this post as I get new missions from The Duke.

I got a mission to bounty a level 60, then wait for it to be completed. Will post it once I return to torn. All my other ones seem to have already been posted.

    Bounty on the MutinyEasy
I hear my old friend learned his lesson. Don't bite the dog that feeds you. You'd do good to remember that too.

    • Put a bounty on xxx
    • Wait for the bounty to be fulfilled

    • $607,000 received
    • 8 Mission credits received
    • Agent standing increased

Now this is a good idea.

Maybe you can post a suggestion to enable mission tab via laptop in suggestion forum
