just as a example. this forgotten rock song from the 70's has been apart of over 100 hiphop songs. im honestly surprised this isnt on my local classical rock radio.

    I don't get it either....if I don't like something, I don't listen.

Who am I to say what sucks for someone else.

You won't find that on your local classical music station b/c their playlist is only about 4 different songs...ok maybe a slight exaggeration but you get my point.

Hate it or love it, rap and or hip hop leads the U.S. in the music industry when it comes to sales.

Yep.  I may not like it, but obviously a whole lot of other people do.  Last year hip-hop/rap was the top grossing music genre in America, with 21.7%(1) of all music consumed being hip-hop/rap.

I'm not gonna lie, i've played it... I didn't like it, but I played it because people like it!

I have both a love and hate relationship for rap music, love it because I can relate to it sometimes. Hate it because of what it has grown into.

a lot of current rap is utter garbage. i used to be the typical "i like everything but rap and country" person. i have found that i really like some of the older stuff, NWA, ice cube, dr. dre, whodini, stuff like that. i have also found i have a soft spot for so called outlaw country, johnny cash, willie nelson, hank, etc. its all about finding your niche. when the only rap or hip hop people hear is the mainstream garbage, they tend to dismiss the entire genre.
