I had alot of fun with these last year. But didn't notice until just now that NPR Tiny Desk goes back to 2008!

We must have similar tastes in music, as you linked Isbell (we just toured Muscle Shoals last week), TTB, and Sturgill Simpson.

I will link two, but not alot of time right now to dig...

    And older one https://www.npr.org/2012/04/26/151219111/cowboy-junkies-tiny-desk-concert

    And a newer one https://www.npr.org/2018/08/01/634283965/the-del-mccoury-band-tiny-desk-concert

We won't have Del around forever, better appreciate him while we can.

Love some Del McCoury.  It wasn't a Tiny Desk, but Keller Williams & The Travellin' McCourys on Bluegrass Underground was a good show too.

Here's Dave Matthews, some I know are turned off by his vocal style. But it's what he feels.

But this reminds me of when we used to see him before getting big and famous. Except for the wall to wall cigarette smoke, beer covered floors, and nimrods talking too loud not paying any mind.

Alot of the bigger artists aren't doing these for exposure. Just support for NPR and to satisfy their own calling.

A guy like Jason Isbell, for instance, never fakes a performance.  He's another that we've seen live before he took off nationally/globally.  Always 100% effort.

I travel regionally with work, hate mainstream radio and too lazy most of the time to stream playlists.

So NPR gets 90% of my attention while I'm driving.

I haven't listened to a lot of Steve Kimock, but he's been in the business a very long while.

    https://www.npr.org/2016/05/13/477987143/steve-kimock-tiny-desk-concert

If anyone recognizes the singer in the first track, please let me know.  Search turned up very little.

Looks a bit like Natalie Merchant, but not enough to be sure.

Was looking for an Edie Brickell Tiny Desk to give you the other half of Steve Martin, but doesn't look like she's done one.

Make no mistake (positive Andrew agrees with me) Steve Martin is no side show act as a musician.

You're thinking 1990's Natalie Merchant. Considerably more "matronly" these days. Try Leslie Mendelson.

Very nice to finally figure that out.

Not familiar with her...yet...but somehow the Royal Potato Family finds a way to connect with me over and over.

If you can jam in a room with legends like this.  Your music career is definitely no side show act.

Jeff Tweedy is a hard man to pigeon hole...so I won't. He's refreshing and sticks to no set 'formula'

Sarah Jarosz is definitely on my list of people I want to see live. Someday, hopefully.
