    There are a lot of great musicians from Manchester im posting this because the bass player died recently ie within the last week. This is from the early 1980s a child hood memory. i suppose many people think oasis are the best band from manchester. Oasis arent even in the top 5 of best bands from manchester. I can show you more bands from manchester who are better than oasis if you dont believe me.

    News of Rourke’s death wasn’t big in the US, but they did have a huge following here as did Morrissey

    ’The Air That I Breathe’ by The Hollies was one of the very first 45s I remember buying as a kid. But now I actually prefer their earlier songs that were before my time. 60 year touring career, although Alan Clarke had to retire

    Im not surprised Morrissey has a international following. Mainstream music can be very dull and bland, Morrissey isnt that he has a musical spirit!


    Although it was a pipe dream, I had always hoped they would mend their issues and tour one more time. At least I was able to see Marr recently, as he was opening for The Killers.

    This live version is the best version I have heard.
