    Firstly, I'd like to say sorry that I can't make this thread look all fancy and stuff. I quit torn ages ago and only restart recently (2 weeks I think now) and I've forgotten all the codes I used to have [:laughing:] Trying my best to format and make it seem as appealing as possible.

    Right, now that that's out of the way, let's begin.

    So, I'm sure you already know by now that there's a large chunk of torn citizens that use flying everyday for various things, whether it be for item running, checking how much XP you need to reach the next level (China I think), hospitalizing someone abroad to piss them off and not let them into a termed war for X hours :P, or simply just to rehab. That accounts for a lot of people.

    The problem is, with the current state of flying, all of these people have one of two options:

    1) Log off and find something else to do, then log back in when the flight is done
    2)Stay online for the whole time and try to occupy themselves with various things. (Yeah, I've tried this... multiple times...)

    And that pretty much covers it. I know laptops exist to open up some other areas whilst flying, but let's be honest here: they're pretty crap. You can't access your own company (on a freakin laptop, something that should realistically have the ability to check that), you can't search other companies, you can't trade etc. The only useful thing I can think of is viewing your mails. I know you can view stocks as well (not sure about buying) but that's about it. [:cry:]

    So I did a little thinking. And I suggest that new things be added and opened for flyers to help keep them occupied, instead of having to suffer on those long, gruelling flights. I'm thinking all the features could be added onto laptops to make them a bit more useful, such as online casino's, online trades (where the items are just dropped off at your current property if you're still on a plane??) (the amount of deals I've missed out because of flying is mental), accessing companies and your own company funds, heck, even an option for online bounties could be fun lol. Anything is possible I guess. [:grin:]

    So I'll leave a poll below for you all to vote on (you can vote for as many as you see fit, also all the options are explained below to give you all a better insight into what I actually mean), so lets see what everyone thinks! Make sure you R+ and Bump it up too :) I can't really think of too many things to add at the moment, so leave a comment saying what I should add to the poll, and I'll try to do it (not experienced with making threads as mentioned before, so I'll probably ask for help at some point ). [:grin:]

    Explanations on poll options (that makes sense right? [:confused:] ) :

    1) Self explanatory I think. They should probably include games such as poker, slots and blackjack for this (in the case for blackjack, there's an NPC dealer or something).

    2 & 3) Pretty obvious, it is what it says.

    4) Here's a big one. So, I was thinking, there are people who hold enough cash on hand to be able to do many things. Then, a good deal on trade chat suddenly pops by and they can't take advantage of this because they are flying. Well, what if online trades became a thing? My thoughts are that the person would transfer cash to the seller and the items which the seller is selling are dropped off automatically to the buyer's property (of course, all using the same trade format we know and love/hate). It would allow traders to keep on trading and sellers to keep selling. Of course, to make sure it isn't game breaking or anything, you wouldn't be able to trade items while flying, just the cash you have on hand and in a company vault (if you own a company).

    5) I'm not sure how many people will like this one, but I think it's a decent concept. So, here's the idea. There's obviously a lot of people that like to take consumables for various reasons, such as stacking e, getting more happy or just because you want to :P Well, what if you were allowed to use any consumables that you've bought? Of course, the same effects apply as if you'd have taken that same item in torn as well (Overseas OD's on Xanax - A reviver's wet dream lol, charging millions for an overseas OD revive). But it's just slightly more convenient and lets you waste less time. Don't think it would be game-breaking, but it may require testing and stuff just to check (idk).

    6) Just for LOLz [:dizzy:]

    7) Now, this is something that I wish existed long ago (not so much now since I've learnt what travel run is lol but still). I'm sure it's happened to all those item runners out there. You fly to a country, wait for a long ass period of time and finally land in the damn place just to see that the item isn't in stock any more (or it might be what happened to me. Went to Hawaii and there was 1 orchid left [:disappointed:] ). Well, a quick trip to another place doesn't seem so bad, does it? Instead of having to fly back to torn, you can just jump to another place. It seems like a balanced feature as well (I.E people can't take advantage of it too much) because, on long flights, people who abuse this will lose tonnes of natural nerve and energy. Seems like a worthy choice between cash and stats.

    8+) Haven't even got an option for those yet [:sick:]
    • What features should be available whilst flying?
    • Have an online casino
    • Allow access to view companies and factions
    • Allow company owners to access their company vault
    • Have an online trading feature
    • Add some possible item interactions
    • An online bounty feature?
    • Allow a choice of return flights
