    Butters [34298]

    Which only lasts 24 hours...

    Judgement [1728095]

yes but this check will last as long as the player comes back and takes it out...................

    flufffy [494285]

No the checks are cashed after 24 hours and the money sent to their wallet. I'm a bit confused as butters said this but you replied that you know but I'm not sure you do []
yes, cashier checks expire after 24 hrs but since the spouse would be inactive and a mug target, this check will be in the bank til the player takes it out

I agree with the staff being fired. The rest isn't going to happen.

Why not let things work like RL? Allow spouses the ability to pay upkeep bills on homes and vault? I'm not a coder, but wouldn't that just as easily solve the problem?

I was thinking the same thing. Just make it so that if the staff arent paid you lose the happy as normal. Let the debt stay with the owner of the PI but allow the spouse to pay upkeep if need be.

You revived a post that is outdated. None of the issues that the OP brought up are an issue since the property upkeep changes. Both property owner and spouse can make payments on upkeep. And as far as I know, aside from happiness decreasing for a while after not paying upkeep, all debt stays on the property owner.
