We the undersigned, with wildly different opinions on the topic, think it should be sequestered to a seperate space, without bothering other folks who feel no need to be nudnikked for attention to a topic they don't give a monkey about. 
None of us normal folks need monomaniacs who know only one single topic.

There are idiots showing up on these forums for no greater purpose than to whine excessively about borderlines in the middle east, flagrantly hijacking other topics and events, with no results beyond raised bloodpressures and a spate of permbans.
Need we mention evil-soldier?

These folks need their very own lunatic asylum, I mean subforum, where they can be safely confined - thus sparing bloodpressures.
If - God forbid - we get idiots who wish to whine excessively about Haggis and Braveheart, they may be just as mad, but they don't do the same damage, since no one actually cares one wit.

just ban them when they dont follow the rules, it used to be alot worse and alot of the offenders are gone now because they couldnt follow forum rules and turned everything into an off topic rant and flaming.. not many left. they will be gone in good enough time

We have a politics subforum.

That does not do a great deal of good when it comes to controlling bloodpressure.
We also had Yet Another Attempt to hijack the topic of the Berlin Wall.

Show me a public controversy regarding penguins - preferably one that is not inconsequential.

I think there are plenty of other places you can share opinions online about the middle east and flaming is not a necessary part of discussion. I don't normally down rate suggestions but feel in this case it's needed. (I have uprated one of your other posts because I don't think your karma should be punished for a bad idea).
