2. Your response was idiotic and not worth the time to respond to. Not my fault you're a retard. -

Rittenhouse, a white guy, dealt with two other white guys.
You don't still believe the 100% proven false info that he shot a black dude, do you?
You do, don't you?! How embarrassing for you. -

If he's happens to have CP on his computer you win the jackpot, if he doesn't you go to jail. Call it 'Ritten Roulette'.Last edited by Astolfo on 16:35:43 - 21/11/23 (1 year ago)

Posted on 17:22:48 - 21/11/23 (1 year ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkHonestly, I always saw this as a sad unfortunate event. I don't hate the kid, he was clearly just some autistic kid, doing what he thought was right. Sadly this meant showing up to a protest with a gun. When the aggression started he did only try to defend himself, then people considered him an active shooter and tried to play heroes, only causing more casualties.
I honestly don't know much about the pedo thing, I doesn't seem important to the case. If Rittenhouse got a lucky shot and deleted a piece of shit from earth, good, didn't affect anyone's actions in that moment though.
My stance is, don't bring guns to a protest (goes for both sides), and Rittenhouse wasn't a hero, he was a scared kid who should never have been put in that situation. -

Posted on 19:18:03 - 21/11/23 (1 year ago)Post link copied to clipboard Copy post linkI did make up my mind. In the eyes of the law he did nothing wrong but in my eyes that man went out there to intimidate people and infringe their rights and came back with blood on his handsI am in favour of the rights set forth at the un, in which most of those that you mentioned are detailed by people who didn't own slaves or commit crimes against humanity. Also, they weren't so nonsensical to put this "right to keep and bear arms" in there considering the problems with violence in your country. They also didn't ban alcohol, which your country did, Where's the "liberty" in that?

For context:
This is from the charity that runs the museum on the plantation that Thomas Jefferson used to own.
Sally Hemmings was a slave girl who bore children to Jefferson
Hemmings couldn't reasonably give consent as she was a slave AND underage.
This guy wrote parts of the constitution and was a real scumbag. Most of the founding fathers were criminal in other ways but he is by far the worst offender. -

Got it.This post confused mein which most of those that you mentioned are detailed by people who didn't own slaves or commit crimes against humanityAlso, they weren't so nonsensical to put this "right to keep and bear arms" in there considering the problems with violence in your countryThey also didn't ban alcohol, which your country did, Where's the "liberty" in that?
Well, I'm assuming that you think I live in the US, but I live in Canada. However, both countries banned alcohol around the end of WW1. As did Russia, Iceland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Australia, New Zealand, Greenland, Estonia, Hungary, and Parts of India. There are actually some interesting theories surrounding this. One of them being that with the men off fighting the war, it was the women of these countries which voted in prohibition.
Exercising your right to vote is an act of collective liberty. Should a country have the right to vote to ban something? If a country is prohibited by federal law on holding votes to ban things like alcohol, is this too an act of liberty?
Regarding Sally Hemmings, based on what I've looked into it does seem that there is a DNA link between Thomas Jefferson and her descendants. She had her first kid when she was 17, and at the time Thomas Jefferson would have been 46-47. Now, by today's standards this is seen as disgusting, and yes it would constitute statutory ****. But was this unusual for the time? Not at all. According to Google, the age of consent was only 12, and this was in part due to the life expectancy of the day. No one back then would have cast a second glance at their relationship.
Same too with Slavery. This was the global norm back then. In fact, the only regard in which the Atlantic Slave Trade differed from the rest of the world, is they didn't practice forced sterilization of their slaves (which is why we have descendants of the Atlantic Slave Trade today, but the same couldn't be said as much for the Arab Slave Trade).
I'm not condoning it, and I find the whole dynamic disgusting, but I also know if I grew up back then, it would have been perceived by everyone as normal. I think it's a little silly to attack people that lived hundreds of years ago for simply conforming to the zeitgeist of the time. Would you want our descendants 300 years from now, with their unimaginably different set of norms, to cast judgement on us through their modern lenses? Or would you prefer that they look at our actions through the lens of our time and to judge our actions comparatively to those around us in our own time? -

Who he shot makes no difference to me. Glorifying someone who slipped through the cracks of the law, for slipping through the cracks is idiotic, at best. -
